FYI - in the USA water tanks do not even exist in attics. The concept is in extinction here. There were large wooden stave iron ringed "water towers" over buildings in cities 160-100 yrs ago and they disappeared by 1960's. The way things are going now with shortages of everything, water storage is becoming a prime consideration since without electricity there is zero water in any rural area which is 90% of populated the land mass on the continent comprising Canada and the USA. Also, Large cisterns were built into all the rural basements a century ago which were also disbanded after electricification. Everything is now pumped in with 100% dependency on the utility grid mains.

I would use a thicker phone for more battery. Also, iPhones have significantly smaller batteries than androids because of the mix between the chips they use being really power efficient and also iOS being a low power software operating system. Androids need more battery to power it because most of the chips are Qualcomm or mediatech and android wasn’t very well optimised for anything other than google pixels

Planned obsolecence & nothing else. If they wanted their phones to last long, they would have made the batteries removable, but that would eat into sales of new models. If they wanted, they could easily make battery life ten fold longer than what it is
