I think he should return at some point because I agree with you they were setting something up with him!

2:50 I actually decided to try to figure out the height for how tall kong would be in 2017! Kong was 31.7 meters tall back in 1973 (well, 1973 timeline-wise-) and grew to be 102.7 meters in GvK, which took place in 2024 (…also timeline-wise.) ok, anyways though, that means kong grew an additional 71 meters taller in 51 years. Doing the math, this would mean he’d grow at least 1.392 meters per year (1.39215686275 meters per year) and since 2017 takes place 44 years after KSI, that’d mean he would be about 61.255 (61.254901961 for preciseness) meters taller in 2017, which would mean he is at least 93 (92.954901961) meters tall in 2017. This is based off if we do the calculations of course, and legendary can most likely make the height different, but basing off from these estimates, he’d be about 93 meters in height, or just over 300 feet tall (305 feet tall). Anyways, yeah, sorry for the long ass essay lol. just did the math so ya’ll didn’t have to! :) Yeah..I can already tell that the replies are probably gonna send me nerd emojis, haha.

We only have mechagodzilla for now, we may get more possible robot-like kaijus such as mechani-kong whom we saw in "king kong escapes" (1967) in the monsterverse, if we get a season 2 of monarch: the legacy of monsters, these can be a possibility.

I think the point here as even the director stated himself. That there is SO MUCH freedom for this series to go at least 4 seasons or more. It's almost inevitable that we'll get a season 2 and possibly 3 announced at the same time. Kong wouldn't have made an appearance at the end of this next season wasn't going to be about him. That's just a no brainer folks. As far as a "mecha-kong" entirely possible. But i think this 2nd season will revolve around Kong and Apex Cyber vs Monarch and there rivalry. As well as furthering the "drama" story line between the characters and there families etc...

This is interesting and would make sense, but the major problem is that apex needed Hollow Earth Energy to power MechaG, although they could learn that the energy would work with Mechani Kong, but they would have to explain why they needed to go down there to get it in GVK, maybe they needed Monarchs help by that point after messing with it before and getting their attention.

We all thought it would be Mecha Godzilla, especially with the post credit scene with Ghidorah’s head in Kotm, referencing 1954 Godzilla’s consciousness inhabiting Kiryu. 😅 Godzilla 3 would probably be some another Legendary-made titan fighting Godzilla. Unless if Legendary has enough budget to buy a license to use Toho’s kaijus.

It's funny to me that as of late there have been videos critiquing where The MonsterVerse goes in a way that seems that's limited. Like they may run out of ideas.. As far as I'm concerned, M:LoM opened a floodgates of possibilities for The MonsterVerse moving forward. With APEX in the midst of things with its bio-Titan research and them established on Skull Island, the future can conceivably involve anything from Mechani-KONG to The Gargantuas!

Since his Species is millennia’s old, and being Skull Island and/or Hollow Earth inhabitants for that duration of time, AND depicted as being at war with the Gojira species thru the same time span; how is Kong NOT a Titan, again...? Their power source is from within the Hollow Earth’s energy, to some extent, which had helped them evolve to their massive size, as with most life and fauna organisms associated of that elusive habitative environment. If he was NOT in some measure, a TITAN, how did he, or his Species rather, survive all those centuries along with Godzilla, the MUTOS, etc and other confirmed Titans? Perhaps more than likely, the NEW movie will shed more light on this. They call his subspecies Titanus Kong (I believe), so the Legendary creators & Monarch, already distinguish him as being an affiliated Titan.
