Why Is Bone Health Important?

Dr. Baginski: The Bone Health Clinic is a clinic for people who are at higher risk for fractures or just who generally want to improve their bone health. So this is people who have had multiple stress fractures, people who have conditions that might increase their risk for general fractures, patients with osteoporosis or osteopenia, or generally anyone who wants to improve their bone health and nutrition. They'll come in and chat with me and I'll take a thorough history to learn about their medical history, what medications they're taking and just generally information about them. Then using that the patient I will work together to figure out ways that we can modify risk factors and strengthen their bones and make them as healthy as possible, as well as optimize their nutrition.
