Yeah I think everyone expects to heal from a first degree sprain in 3 weeks but I'm at a month and am like 2-3 weeks out still from being able to surf pain free still. Age will also play an important role right? I mean I just turned 52 and don't feel my ligaments heal as quickly as they did even 10 years ago.

Yep I have a concussion

I fell down the stairs yesterday and hurt my ankle. I couldn’t move it our walk but I thought it was a sprain so I didn’t bother going to the hospital. I just hopped a round all day and by then my ankle was really swollen and I couldn’t beer the pain anymore so I went and got a X-ray. Turns out I badly sprained it and also fractured it in 5 different places. Now I’m stuck with a cast for 3 months. Do you have any tips on how to sleep with a full leg cast?

If I heals crooked can it be fixed? I don't want to deal with a curved metacarpal for the rest of my life, all because I decided to punch a wall in 7th grade.

Excellent explanation. I just left my Doc. We're waiting for an MRI (the local MRI machine is broken so I have to schedule one in another town) but my osteo doc thinks it's SLAP. I have psoriatic arthritis (25 years) and dislocated that shoulder (about 15 years ago). Which of the two preexisting conditions would probably contribute more to the SLAP? Or maybe neither? 49/m

So basically, you have to have surgery to get new knuckles because the knuckles can I grow back so you would have to have surgery to get new knuckles maybe from a 3-D printer or metal knuckles that you bring to the doctor that they can come surgically screw on your hand and surgically repair on your hand

What activities can a person do a year after ankle surgery

I had no injury. I have pain since 2008 since I was still in my early twenties. After 12 years nobody knows what is going on with my shoulder. One doctor told me you have inflammation of the tendons. I did surgery. It was thought and still not healing. And I am in pig pain. I wish if I found a good doctor to go and see him.

Oh i forgot after i refused for surgery they give me a new cast can that can remove which is i never use heavy& it's more difficult for me to do work at home makes my feet more swollen nd hot my feet become red like want to burst omg so untill now i nver use nd my feet not swollen anymore except i stand or walking around longer

I got sprained ankle November 12 after one doctor put cast for week still not ok the swollen nd getting worst after 2 week we go back to the hospital but different Doctor but before we go back i removed my cast by myself then the doctor asked what my work nd how long i working then he said i need to undergo operation nd it cost 10,000$ but if I don't want operation it's ok also same recovery so i never choose to undergo operation,i can walk also why should i,😢still recovering but the bruises still have nd if i stand longer or walking too much at home it become swollen a bit again😢 thank u doc for sharing ur knowledge to us Godbless

I'm having this done in a little over a month from now. I'm 50 got injured at work. After three failed surgical procedures. In just a little over two years. This is the only option left. I'm sooooo sick of the pain, and having no use of my dominant arm. I can't wait for my surgery date to get here.
