If Russia is a superpower then by that logic so is Canada 😂 If we spent 3% of GDP on our military for 20 years we would easily have a more powerful military than Russia. The US and Canada are basically the same country. We are the two closest countries in the world with the same culture, language and similar laws and values. And we are a part of the two eyes alliance which includes only the US and Canada and is probably the closest military alliance in the world. America has been begging Canada and other western countries to spend more on their military. The US would love to have more help from western countries in policing the world. We would never have any problems with the US if we expanded our military. Canada used to have a huge military in WW2 and afterwards. At the end of WW2 Canada had the 3rd largest Navy in the 4th largest airforce in the world

They still haven't fully made the break from Britain yet. Superpower nations usually don't have the monarch of another country as their Head of State. Even a tiny nation like Barbados eventually ended its monarchic union with Britain, & became a republic just a few years ago. Canada, Australia and New Zealand could all do the same, at some future point. That'd be an awesome improvement of things, if any of those nations actually took that brave step ahead!
