It it ain’t broke. So many people act surprised that things like this sell. Not everyone is into high tech or giant vehicles. Everyone wants good gas mileage on giant vehicles and it doesn’t make any sense. Some of us love the feel of a traditional sedan. The best cars that were ever made were simple and had zero tech. All you need is a good looking comfortable adorable car that runs and has a nice ride and you are doing better than most. The best things don’t need an update every year to stay “competitive.” People think bigger is better. No. The more simple the more attractive. Love my 2024 Malibu

Three years ago, I bought my first car from a dealership, and it's a 2021 Chevy Malibu. I love Chevy, hands down, and I spoke with my specialist yesterday about trading it in for the 2024 Malibu RS. I'm most definitely trading it in, and thank you for posting this. The Chevy Malibu, to me, is such an amazing car, and it fits my budget. It's no different from the 21 I have, and that's what I love about it. I've worked extremely hard this year, and trading in my 21 for the 24 RS will be an early birthday present to myself.

The Malibu sells very well, despite the few changes over the last almost ten years. As mentioned, those discounts are attractive and make the Malibu a leader in the value segment, which use to be the Sonata and Optima/K5’s selling feature.

For the past like five years I have had my eyes on a Malibu. I currently have a 2019 Honda Accord but once I sat in the Malibu I love the comfort the lake space and I just love the Malibu so I got one 2024 black Malibu, RS, I wish it was a little faster but it’s OK. It’s a sexy car.

I’m a luxury car guy… but specifically American luxury, like Lincoln, Cadillac, etc. and the thing appealing about the Malibu aside from pricing is that it doesn’t have as many points of failure… like trunk opening sensors or electric door handles that always fail on the Lincoln Continental. The more luxury I have in a car, the more expensive failures I always have to fix. If ONLY one of these Malibus had some pretty interior wood grain accents and anything that would dress up the interior at least a little bit…

It’s a mistake GM is discontinuing the Malibu, instead they should redesign it for 2026. People are gradually going back to sedans, most folks can’t afford 40K SUVs and trucks, nothing wrong with a old school, well equipped sedan for under 30K.

Bought a ‘21 during the height of the China Virus “pandemic”. Paid 22k out the door. Has 42k on it now. I take it to work every day and it has done it very well! No complaints and I saved a lot of fuel by leaving my Silverado in the garage when going to work!

The Premier was discontinued in the spring of 2022 because when the supply of the LTG 2.0 Turbo (252hp) engines ran out they stopped production. It came standard with the 9 speed transmission. I ordered one in January 2022 and delivery was in May. This was at the end of the pandemic. The dealer could not promise delivery because end production date was unsure. It was very affordable considering the competition out there.A really fun car with plenty of power.Chevy never did a great job of advertisement for the complete Malibu line and especially the Premier model. Recently as others have said they now have decided to terminate the complete Malibu car line in November 2024.

Theres three reasons i purchased this car brand new a month ago in the rs trim 1 I'm a die hard gm chevy fan 2 its not an ev or hybrid and its still got great milage 3 this vehicle being the first car I've ever purchased brnad new off the lot really didn't make me feel that bad in the financial department lol i can justify that it was a really good puchase The one and only thing i would change is that lane keep assist feature with the electronic steering rack i just dont trust it but, im sure thats a really common thing in just about any vehicle today...all my prior cars and trucks were 20-25 years old but, i always paid cash for em and if anything broke i could fix it and after looking at the malibu its pretty simplistic and i like that about it too

I just traded in a 2021 Hyundai Elantra for the 2024 Malibu, I went for the 1ls in white. I did give up some features such as heated seats and whatnot, but I didn’t really need all those features. I wanted something simple and basic, and the Malibu delivers while at the same time I gain more comfort with the Malibu as compared to the Elantra. I’m hoping to get a good 10 years of use out of this car
@kilroy9872 ай бұрын
I would have gotten another Malibu (got my first in 2013, kept it 11 years), but I wanted a bit more space. I thought about going with the Equinox, but they are a lot more expensive than I wanted to spend. I went with the Trax, LT trim. It's now Chevy's cheapest model, since they don't make the Cruze anymore. I'm very happy with it so far, but I've read horror stories of the inside-motor rubber wet belt on the 1.2Ls snapping between 50-90k miles when it should last 150k. We'll see. Update: I read to keep the oil clean - I'll change it at 1000 miles and 3000 miles during breakin, then keep it topped off and change it every 5000 miles.

Stop being so hard on a car thts just meant to be used as an everyday car to get u from point A to B. Talking about the doors feeling cheap blah blah blah, complaining about the door trim, it can be cleaned simple as tht, ur not driving the door. dont expect the car to go 0-6 in 2-3 sec, its not meant for tht. The avg person isn't driving a super car. When u get to tht level then u can be picky. Only thing i agree with him on this was the heated seats I believe tht shd be a must on all cars no matter how low the level is.

I agree the Malibu is a nice looking car and offers value..but I think GM made a mistake by only offering this car with only that 1.5 turbo engine...that engine is too small and under powered for this car...the Malibu was alot nicer with the other engines GM used to put in the car...the 1.5 liter engine is the main reason I passed on the Malibu..the other reason was because the infotainment system is out of date..but GM could had easily fixed that with the Malibu
