WHY is everyone crazy over this rod?

I've subscribed to your channel.I purchased the 80 mh model also first generation I am going to use it for Carolina-rig chasing big Perch in Holland.I had the same thoughts when I saw the sleeve and stickers 😄 First try will be coming week.I pair it with 23 Vanquish C 2500 because I've had bad luck with Daiwa.The guy I bought it from said it is even more sensetive than Evergreen Superior.Nice catches btw.

Great video. Some words about bottom test of road, I think it's depends of what kind of braid is used. I was very surprised when I saw how my friend was fishing on gamakatsu hana 80 with one gram of tungsten cheburashka and 1.5 inch lure. The casting and animation of the bait at this weight was excellent, the tip of the rod did not return back, but on a hard bottom everything was felt in hand. And of course he did not lose a single perch the size of a little finger. He had 2 spools for this, one with 0.2 pe and the second with 0.4 pe. Let's see what happens with my 82, I also chose the option with two spools, one in order to use spinning for jig on light weights 0.4 pe x8 and the second for wobblers and larger fish than 0.6 pe x8. From the new line, a model up to an ounce in 86 length seemed very interesting, though a bit strange test by braid, 0.3-0.6 for an ounce stick, apparently the rings will remain the same small, and it seems to me that this is not entirely appropriate for such test. By the way, on my 82 hana rings, the size is the same as on 74, but I would even like to use an thin x8 0.8pe for the top of the test ... and on the rod up to an ounce, of course. I would also note not only a minus, but a feature of this line rods, again returning to the rings, fishing at -3, especially if there is a wind, it ceases to be comfortable)

Hey, thanks for the comment. I'm sure that my S77M would perform OK with 1g and even better with 2-3g if I would use 0.2Pe, but then I wouldn't be able to comfortably use the upper limit of 8-10g. So I rather stay in the middle. I have a true ul rod for 1-4g and usually, I carry both of them if I go perch fishing and I'm not sure what conditions I'll have. When it comes to the guides - all new high-end JDM rods come with micro guides, that's just how it is and you shouldn't use one in freezing cold anyways cause 99% (or even higher) carbon doesn't like it that much :) About the line to g ratio - my friend did a video on 82 model (I think) - it's simply not made for those insane hookups (line bass or pike fishers do) and he sed that gram vise it is suitable for pike fishing but line wise it's not - its just to sharp :) this would be perfect for zander and perch :)

@@EdvinasUrbonas About working weights i am absolutly agree with you. I am working on 74 hana main with weigths 2-4 gram on 0.3 gosen light game, but some times can use 5-7, and it's ok. So about 82 hana i realy planing use it for long distance fishing on perch, and for zander, but i think not for zander from river with fast and deep water. So and think just need use thin hooks for zander, just because it better for hookup that fish. About your friend, maybe your friend is EVALDAS BUBULIS (youtube chanel)? So if it his chanel, i am whatching his video, and i try understand, but it really hard to me) Just wacthing video and read coments under the video)

Hey, yeah it’s possible to use with some smaller, not stubborn lures. But why would you do that? This rod is just awesome for jig and if you are fishing more with minnows - get something more suitable for that ✌️

@@EdvinasUrbonas Thanks, I know there are more suitable rods, but when I go perch fishing in neighbouring Latvia I like to mostly focus on jigs, but also have a box with minnows with me. And I try to avoid taking a second rod. In any case, thanks for the answer!

Sveiki, ačiū už puikų video. Gal galėtumėt patarti. Renkuosi tarp šio modelio ir modelio iki 9g. Pats dažniausiai gaudau gylesniuose ežeruose, kuriuose mano žvejojami gyliai nuo 5 m iki 13 m. Dažniausiai gaudau 4-7 g. volframu + 2 arba 2,5 colio gumos. Kartais norėtusi užsidėti ir 9 g. galvakablį, bet dabartinis mano tictas jau lagina. Mane labiau domina iki 9 g variantas, bet ar jis nebus per silpnas dedant 7 g. + masalas ir kai gylis tarkim 10m. Kiek rezervo turi šie koteliai? Kitas klausimas, ar teko bandyti šį iki 12 g. kai gylis tarp 10 -13 m, ar informatyvumas ir jautrumas nepranyksta didesniuose gyliuose?

@@EdvinasUrbonas Сейчас уже такого страха нет, привыкаешь ко всему..Моя естра продала 4 месяца назад квартиру и в этот дом прилетела ракета, погибла мама с ребенком, мужь пошёл за продуктами, остался жив но потерял семью. Только последних 2 дня стало тише,а то прилетало практически каждый день в область. 2 раза наблюдали на рыбалке как ПВО сбивает ракету, это жутко,но приятно)

Nice. Doesn't matter what reel you will use, but don't go cheep on this rod, it deserves a good one. Shimano vanquish or DAIWA Luvias minimum :) size 2000 - 2500;
