The price of that lash kit is psychotic. I'm a licensed lash tech and makeup artist. For that price you could easily get fives times the supplies and be able to customize your look. The Kylie Cosmetics palette looks like a direct knock off of Makeup by Mario, -10 points for innovation. The other stuff looks cute. Prices are all nuts, though.

@@dime.overmatter They are usually mink (non-"vegan", most people don't even eat their extensions, though) which are expensive because you need to raise an animal or synthetic ("vegan") which are cheap because it's plastic brewed up in an industrial factory or "silk" which may be natural from actual bugs or may be cheap imitations mislabled. "Vegan" lashes are the standard in the modern industry and can be had for cents if you don't buy them in a fancy box.

Though maybe I’m a bad person but I rather have my lashes, brushes etc be made of animal fur rather than plastic, I think that’s what’s actually better for the environment. I’m sure there are ways to get them more ethically, like most leather is already a byproduct of meat industry.

@@Jhud69 People love to redefine words. I don't buy into that nonsense. The word was coined in reference to non-dairy eating vegetarians. I was vegetarian for three decades, I know a thing or two about the "community". Natural hair brushes and synthetic fibre brushes serve two different purposes. When they can give me a synthetic brush that accomplishes what boar hair does I'll switch. Until then, I'll continue to buy the appropriate brush to achieve a task.

I 100% agree with you on the Hello Kitty & Sailor Moon collabs. Honestly, I think they were both kind of lacking in the design department & I'm not a huge fan of The Crème's products, at least the ones I've used. They are definitely over priced & not really worth it, at least for me. I really wish these brands would take inspo from Japanese packaging especially when working with brands like Sailor Moon & Hello Kitty. They have so many fun designs & I just don't understand why it's not explored in the western market. We love fun packaging too!

I am dying 🪦 for the Danessa Myricks pallet. A single, good multi chrome eye shadow is about $17.00 each, multiplying that by 18, and it = $ 306.00. It also has several different formulas, a decent range of colors, the packaging is Genius! For traveling you can take (example) 6 of your preferred Duo chromes from the pallet, because they pop out individually, (if magnetized) 6 mattes or transitioning shades from your personal collection, and still have room to pop in a blush, bronzer and highlighter ! You can make your own face pallet. Great for traveling 🍒

Exactly! You cannot purchase a good multi chrome eyeshadow for less than $15. I’ve looked😂 so her Lightwork palettes are gold to me. I still wait for the sales tho cause it’s still money 💰

I ordered it during thanksgiving and I would say it was still available on her website or on Beauty Bay or Sephora till early spring. Now if it sells out, it sells out and she doesn’t bring it back. So while I don’t think you have to buy it today, I’d definitely keep watch on it just to be safe

​@@TracyD2I'm not OP but I have the skin tint (and highlight, one of the velvet lipsticks and one of the baume lip colours, I hate how much of a convert I am, I miss when I used to buy whatever was cheapest from Boots but LE works soo well for me 🙈) it's v light coverage but so nice for days when I want an easy, no fuss 'my face but better' look, it doesn't settle into my forehead lines or dry patches but deffo gives less coverage than my NARS tinted moisturiser.

I use the Westman Atelier concealer. It’s *SO* pigmented that a little goes a long, long way. And the formula is silky and bendable. It dries down fast and I mean fast. But it looks gorgeous and lasts all day. Worth the price tag IMO. Love love love it!

The Westman Atelier concealer price shocked me; not because of how high it was but because it made me realize how desensitized I’ve gotten. I missed the price the first watch, so when Robert started talking about it being outrageous I was thinking “how bad can it be, $50?” And only then did it hit me that I used to consider $50 for a luxury *foundation* to be absurd. Fortunately I’m not buying anything right now, my system is clearly out of wack 😅

The concealer says, as a selling point/feature, recyclable packaging (after cleaning it)... Glass is recyclable, some plastics are recyclable... after you properly clean it. Reusable is the "new" move. That would've explain a high cost of a concealer.

Yes all glass is technically recyclable, but just because it's glass doesn't mean it's going to be recycled, and thus it might not be more sustainable than a well designed lightweight plastic pagaging or other materials. ive only tried the bullets, but my god, the quality is equal to the price. i got a black and a shimmery green (omen and greta i think its called?), and they're just amazing. it's really smooth and balmy, and is so opaque and pigmented i only needed one swipe. the green was the same way and i felt so cool when i wore both of them! the price makes me cry but thats why i prioritized the two most uncommon colors. im hoping to save up for those metallic liquid lipsticks

I have the westman concealer. it is nice, but if used under the eyes (thinly) it does tend to crack in the inner corners of the eyes after a few hours, which it shouldn't for that price. The Natasha Denona and Danessa Myricks concealers do not do this

I prefer the Urban Decay Stoned Vibes palette and the shimmers in that set. It truly is my favorite palette I've ever bought. The shimmers in that set are SO pretty and shiny. It took a little bit of work to figure out how to apply the shimmers, but, the green is my absolute fave. Thanks for the review on these.

The Agatha PR has already been sent & I was lucky enough to get it, because of Marvel. And I have to say, they are the most full coverage I’ve ever seen from any brand, they’re beautiful, but they do stain quit a bit. So have an exfoliant ready. But def buy if you’re a fan. I’d never heard of the brand before, but the PR box, came with a deck of Tarot cards & they’re Agatha themed cards, & after trying on my fiends, the collection is now on display, but I’m using the Tarot cards lol

did I pay €160 for lightwork VI? yes. would I buy it again? YES. this palette is fantastic. I don't use matte shadows AT ALL, so having all these gorgeous sparkles in one place is amazing and I'm SO happy with it.
