Welcome to ace attorney where every character has to live through some form of trauma. A man so obsessed with perfection he ruined his own and many other people's lives over a simple penalty. A nurse who killed many people in an accident due to being overworked, also caused her sister's death in a car crash and finally killed yet another person out of fear that the lie she was living could be exposed. An acrobat who lost both his brother and his ability to perform, which was his passion, and all this over an innocent prank. All of which led to him accidentally killing his father figure. A rockstar who seems to have it all, but has actually had to learn his close friend is a murderer and shortly afterwards that his brother is too, and the latter has also used him in his petty revenge plan, ruining someone's life for seven years. A magician who lost her memory, sight and connection to both her children as a result of a tragic accident that nearly killed her. The daughter of said magician who only had her father left as a parental figure, who also disappeared from her life after being accused of murder. Was then adopted by someone who had just lost their job, putting the responsibility of making money on her when she was only eight. Yeah everyone's story is fucked up... the games keep the tone lighthearted with jokes but the actual plot is DARK.
@leviathannathan92 Жыл бұрын
Let’s talk about the two newest entries, too. A literature student forced to being a recluse due to racism and bigotry also was accused of attempted murder twice with the victim trying to kill him in the second one. An artist who lost their fiancé because they decided live in a shady apartment. Only to find out someone murdered him with gas over a glorified dog collar. A scientist who wanted to invent electric teleportation but it got a man killed because he hired someone shady to do it. A young junior detective who looked up to her senior detective as father figure only to find out that he murdered people as a side gig. A best friend who wanted to take revenge for his father’s death, only to find out that he wasn’t supposed to die but he was killed by his father best friend due to breaking out of prison at the wrong time. A great prosecutor who looked up to his brother as beacon of justice, only to find out that his brother is a famous serial killer.

Dude so many of the killer in ace attorney kill over the pettiest and personal shit (spoilers for apollo justice 4-1 and 4-4 and 6-2) We already know that Manfred von Karma killed Gregory over a SINGLE PENALTY. Imagine shooting someone in an elevator and traumatizing his YOUNG CHILD for life... all over ONE PENALTY. HE DIDN'T EVEN LOSE THE CASE! I know the von Karma name being perfect is very important to him but that's just ridiculous Then there's Roger Retinz from Spirit of Justice. While he's extremely petty, his motives are still at least a little justifiable, because they were all done because he was kicked out of the Gramarye troupe. Still, it's an explanation... not an excuse to KILL a RANDOM GUY YOU FOUND OFF THE STREET AND FRAME A HIGH SCHOOL GIRL FOR IT. And now for the pettiest man of all time: Kristoph Gavin. One can argue he was even pettier than von Karma. His plan all started when Shadi Enigmar/Zak Gramarye played poker with him to see if he could take his case. Gavin lost, so Enigmar would go to Phoenix Wright. Of course, Phoenix won and took his case. Gavin was so offended by that that he had Drew Misham forge evidence for him to use in court, which would get him disbarred and stripped of his badge. Oh, but that wasn't enough for him. He decided to put atroquinine poisoning on a stamp for Drew Misham to lick and get killed by, as well as poison in his daughter, Vera's, nail polish since she had a habit of biting her nails and would get poisoned by it. This is so they would be silenced about the whole forgery with the diary. So yeah that's every ace attorney killer who killed out of pure pettiness (unless i missed any from the DLCs or the spinoffs, i havent played those yet 😭)
