Dang, I thought this was gonna have an etymology lesson at some point on actually why there are so many silent letters in French. Great video nonetheless.

In french we usually don’t consider the S in « les » or « es » silent (muet). Or else it would be pronounced « le » and « e » and not lé and è as it is. But good job overall anyway !

i found an article of one syllable words in french compared to different romance languages and french beats them all by a large margin, french has around six thousand one syllable words to other romance languages five hundred or eight hundred only
