Not really a reaction, but when it’s raining in GTA IV, you can also come across some NPCs wearing actual raincoats. One example of such NPCs I can think of is police officers. GTA IV is so phenomenal ❤

To this day, GTA IV is the only game in the series I actually played through all the missions to complete the story. The story is so well done and Niko is such a likeable character. I never felt that sense of attachment towards any of the other GTA characters

The downgrading of the physics also meant it was easier to play, especially for the more younger (my mom bought this game for me) type of players, opening up a wider range for Rockstar to garner money from. Let's not forget that the storyline missions are SKIPPABLE after 3 failed attempts, just so the younger ones don't throw tantrums because they can't beat the level to progress.

Gta5 has really weird gravity and a sense of weight. Your character takes ages to fall down compared to gta4 where Niko will gradually increase velocity. The sense of gravity is where everything feels lightweight but the objects still behave heavily. For example driving big 4x4s in gtav skid and handle like sports cars and sports cars don't stick to the road. In gta4 every hit with a car including something small like a street lamp sounds and feels weighty...

yes but no, it depends on where you live, if you live in big cities cops are alot more aggressive, if you live in the country or small towns police are abit more patient, don't underestimate EITHER of them tho, cause they are still police officers and were trained in multiple ways of combat from ranged to hand to hand, country cops are more often using tasers than guns tho

I grew up playing gta iv so was used to the weight of the cars. Mastering that was a challenge. The cars feel so heavy! Very realistic. Going from that to gta v, the turns I took (expecting weight) ended with me spinning out. The cars just go flying! No weight so they turn so quick and effortlessly. Which ig is good? I personally hated the car physics in v. The brakes in each game also felt very different. In iv it was tough and learning to perfect this for better turns was half the battle to mastering driving. It felt like in v, letting go and taping the brakes to make easier turns was boring. Mastering driving in v wasn't much of a challenge in my opinion. I enjoyed the harder driving and weight of iv compared to the lackluster weightlessness of v 😅

In GTA 4 games developers were very focused on particle effects and damage/destruction of objects in the video game world. Battlefield 3 is a good example of this. When GTA 5 came out they were more focused on making it appear more realistic and making the game bigger in scale. The character switching comes to mind. You had three different characters with different motives, personalities, and storylines. Both are good games in their own right.

The attention to detail they put into GTA IV is incredible. The lack of it in GTA V is disappointing. The worst things in this video are the difference in the cops' behaviors and how V didn't have the access of restaurants or street vendors. There's just so much more to do in IV than in V.

I've always said GTA V was rushed. They tried making a map double the size of Liberty City, within the same amount of time. It's honestly crazy. GTA V could've been such a good game if they hadn't pushed it for old-gen, but rather (at the time) new-gen.

GTA IV was made in 4 years on new hardware. GTA V was made in 5 on hardware the devs are experienced with which is why it only took another year than IV, the devs knew all the little tricks to get the game running on 7th gen consoles

One of my favorite things from this game not listed here is that npcs in IV actually fight back more often, even when you hold a gun. In V, all women are programmed to flee (no seriously, the only ones that fight you are Vagos and cop females) and the majority of men fight back until you pull out a weapon.

Reasons why GTA 4 kicks GTA 5’s ass. 1. A perfect story about a serbian war veteran who is out for revenge and to make sure his cousin doesn’t have trouble while pursuing the american dream, an outlaw biker who must help out his gang out of trouble and a part time bouncer who must help his friend/mentor/boss out of trouble to make sure the clubs go well. 2. The interactions between the three characters who cross paths because of some diamonds and heroin who got smuggled into Liberty City. 3. The movement, fighting, shooting, driving feels a lot more better. Although Niko is much better when you play as him as he moves and runs the best. 4. The side characters are so much memorable. 5. Multiple activities such as bowling, pool, darts, air hockey, drinking, eating, comedy club, cabaret club, strip club. 6. The vigilante missions are AWESOME 7. The missions are better. Because 90% of missions in GTA 4 you work for various gangs and mafias, while in GTA 5 you work mostly for the FIB and some rich douchebag(Devin Weston) 8. Lots of gangs, bikers and mafias. Whether its the african americans, the puerto ricans, the albanians, the russians, the triads, the jewish, different biker gangs etc 9. The npcs are concerned if they hit you with the car, in GTA 5 they just run away. 10. The npcs don’t antagonize you if you stand near them. 11. You have multiple choices of who to spare or who to kill and what ending you will have. 12. The strangers are memorable and in the end, most of them have a purpose and find redemption. 13. Best soundtrack, next to Vice City 14. Online mode was fun but the main focus was on the actual game unlike GTA 5 which they only cared about the online mode and bajillion dlcs(Jesus Christ almighty!) Overall and verdict = GTA 4 is probably the best and the last great GTA game ever.

my problem with GTA 5 is how it felt like a downgrade. when i saw the trailer for it. the game had the sense of an upgrade but i don't see much of that. I remember a family friend of mine let me play GTA 4 when i was little and i loved the sandbox aspect of it. GTA 5 feels more like a GMOD rp server rather than a proper exploration sand box

Actually, GTA V has the better car handling. Cars in GTA V also tilt depending on what direction you have turned but in a more subtle and realistic way. The cars in GTA IV practically tip over after every little turn which real cars don’t do.

Another thing is also with the cops, the LCPD Officers will actually order you to do things, like they will yell "STOP, POLICE!" ,or "LCPD, HOLD IT RIGHT THERE". While in GTA V the cops will usually just insult you and they may sometimes scream "LSPD" sometimes. I've noticed that especially while sitting in a car and the LSPD shows up, just yelling "ASSHOLE!" and things like that, while LCPD Officers were actually telling me to leave the car and put my hands behind my head.
