Hear me out. First game: They tell us that Nana/Esther made the toy for Ruby. Second game: They tell us the toy was donated to the orphanage Nana/Esther grew up in. Could that be just a simple mistake in the storyline, or are we dealing with two different possessed toys?

Esther's neighbors heard her screaming at night and because of this she was sent to the hospital. when the family came to visit her, Esther under the influence of the Entity which possessed Mr.Hopp gave Ruby the rabbit toy. The Entity serves as the ruler of the underworld and master of the Three Curses, Isabelle and the Shadow Creatures
