I always watched this movie ever since I saw it in theatres back in 1993 and feel like It actually takes you to Salem (I have visited the actual location since) this film is an utter classic.

Yet another great video - I remember Hocus Pocus being more popular on VHS than in theatres for sure - definitely wasn’t as popular then is it grew to be though! I’m very excited for more Halloween obsessed videos from you!!

Agreed! The more you watch it, the more it becomes a classic. Halloween is my favorite holiday as well and while I am an avid horror movie fan, Hocus Pocus is always a movie I return to every October 😀

I’m not really a fan of Hocus Pocus, and I while I do enjoy this movie from a non fan perspective, I watch this on cable every once in a while for Halloween I find the Satan scene the best part of the of the movie- where the Sanderson sisters mistaken a guy dressed as the devil as Satan himself! I do see where Hocus Pocus fans are coming from with this being a cult classic- The only problems I have with Hocus Pocus is that one, Freeform repeats this movie constantly during their 31 Nights of Halloween, I can understand showing this movie once or twice during the schedule run but isn’t 13 times or 20 times over doing it, one year they aired Hocus Pocus all day for Halloween, and that was pretty annoying- the second problem I have with the movie is plot holes, why do the Sanderson Sisters seem to know about technology in the modern world one minute and the next minute they are naive- So yeah I can only take this movie on small doses! HalloweenTown is a good movie to check out too

I love Hocus Pocus but for Halloween it doesn't necessarily reign supreme for Halloween movies: the actual "Halloween" movies do. Hocus Pocus gets more airtime on Freeform bc it's kid friendly but most adults' number 1 Halloween movie is John Carpenter's Halloween and its sequels. This is not a knock on Hocus Pocus, it's disputing your claim that this movie "reigns supreme" when it comes to Halloween movies.
