When a Chinese has achieved something in 100%, they always give self a 80% of score and feel not good enough. But when a India achieved something 60%, they will tell the world, I have done 120% and telling the word so loudly. Exactly this video give the feeling to us. so always bear in mind, there is 50 to 80% is advocate for reality in Indian.

Its Ctually opposite man about india, Indians are partially controlling the world actually with the invention of pentium chip , usb, master card etc but actually its hidden they are not claiming it. also with the highest patents achieved by an Indian for GE after Thomas Edison which patents used all over the world, in vehicles chinese are just new to the world but India exporting over 50 years engine , chassis, shock absorber components for different brands and vehicles around the world. Even most Chinese phone are run by android which is developed by Google with Indian CEO. Also chief of research of intel decades are an Indian. even though Chinese are biggest exporters in the world for all items from toy to gadgets electronic items. Many forigners are using the silence and humbleness of Indians and says many lies to puting down india actually.l

Unfortunately, I never heard any Chip or engine, chassis are invented by Indian. the reality is GE , Mastercard, Intel are all US brand , even Google CEO is holding American passport, none of them belong to Indian intellectual property. now I know where is the confident come from the Indian already.

Master card also Indian I forgot his name. More than 900 companies makes parts of vehicles in India for different brands around the world , Bharat forge is the biggest exporter of India which produces engine chassis components , one company in Chennai produces axle of Man. Google CEO is passed education in India born in India. Ge has second highest patents for an Indian after Thomas Edison . will add his name if remember later . Indian company TVs was producing components for GM and exporting 70s 60s . An Indian company Force motors 50 years producing engines for mercedes , BMW and for rolls Royce car. n Indian who gave the invention and idea of smart phone. Google CEO heard to be invented android and chrome etc even in mercedes Benz or Boeing you can see technology or inventions of Indians . Mercedes or Boeing or Airbus or even space shuttles use USB.

Chinese people often criticize the party, government and leaders. However, public calls on television to overthrow the party, government or leaders are not allowed. Before making decisions, the Chinese government will listen to the opinions of the people through surveys. Before implementing major policies, they will be implemented on a small scale. If the policies are found to be deficient, they will be revised. This is the real Chinese government and Chinese society. This is the secret of China’s rapid development. Neither the Western media nor the Indian media will tell you.

As a Canadian who has been living in China for the past 20 years, I must admit that China's infrastructural growth is unbelievable. I can attest that changes in China happen almost on a daily basis. China can build a bridge in a week, manufacturing factories and sea or mountain tunnels in a month. But don't give up India, if there is a will, there is a way.
@wh4uf

Yes but first sort out a few things first . Top on the list corruption which is now endemic it's like a giant octopus clinging on and eating India alive, secondly sort out the infrastructure it's like a body with severe cardio issues never know when it going to cause a massive coronary, thirdly it the religious and gender inequalities where the Muslims and the female are being pushed aside neglected, then comes political system where it's rotten to the core. When there's a lack of directions in the leadership in the country it's always archaic laws and rules to benefit their donors and sponsors in the policies. Then comes the colonial baggage and the worship of the whites mentality which stems from the lack of self esteem and insecurities . Finally it's the education system in India anyone with money can open up a school any time anywhere . I know of a few started a technical institute not to educate the masses but to procure young students for theirs and their gang's carnal desires. The rest is history.

The problem with our democratic system is that we have to choose a relatively less corrupt politician from a pool of corrupt politicians. Often, we cast our votes based on religion, caste, and community. We may call ourselves nationalists and claim to be willing to die for our nation, yet when it comes to our religion or caste, the nation often takes a back seat. A nation will progress when every individual living within its borders excels. The country's development is inevitable when the development of its individuals is ensured.

Hey Think school team, though the stats have been covered dynamically. Few changes are to be made, i.e the Vijayawada port, there is nothing such as Vijayawada port. The nearest port would be Machillipatnam port which is still not developed or only used as a fishing habour. So the other major port near Vijayawada lies the Krishnapatnam port. The DFC is designed in such a way that the major industry belt is connected to nearest ports, i.e. Visakhapatnam port, Paradeep port, Krishnapatnam port, Tuticorin port, Murmogao port, JNPT port. As china had the strategy to use elevated tracks for passenger travel convection. Some part of our country should be using elevated tracks to tackle the challenges we face currently. Very good example being Delhi Meerut RRTS. As our new Vandhe Bharat trains are very capable to run at 180+ kms. We have routed the passenger, express, superfast mails, premium trains all services using the same tracks which is again the massive reason for congestion. DO I SEE THE END TO CONGESTION, NO! Do I see any ease to regulate congestion ? Yes. DFC is the answer. The Railways needs a better overhauling of load carriers. The high speed corridor if connected in 2035 to all major cities can be a game changer. But the caste politics will create a barrier amongst elitist and middlemen and beyond. This is deep routed problem where we as a nation cannot just depend on stats to fulfil our requirements. The conjugation of roadways and railways should go hand in hand like we have it in the Konkan railways, truck over train facilities. Though we have WAG12 with a good hauling capacity, the load carrier needs better transition. The python express was a success and could be run in a priority module wherein a port within 8hrs of destination can be delivered in a single go. The interference involving many modes of transport consumes time. Rest as a nation we will achieve our goals, soon!

Once on a business trip to Mumbai, the so-called "Shanghai of India", when I saw cars, pedestrians and cows racing to seize the road on Mumbai's main road, when I saw luxury hotels and sheet metal houses on the roadside, a strong sense of disorder, backwardness and wealth gap swamped over me. Despite this, Indians, including their politicians, had an uncanny confidence that their country is growing fast and can soon overtake the world powers. As a humble and stoic Chinese, I find this Indian way of thinking particularly dangerous. It is easy to blind them to the gap between India and the world, and the huge problems rooted in their society, including infrastructure, public health, women's rights, and even business credit. Students who have received good education in science and engineering have fled to Europe and the United States to study and no longer return to their home countries to build their country. One of your brilliant work. Keep it going. I spent 37 years in logistics industry in India. Seen developed countries infra. We are faaar behind. in 9 years even current government has done very little, made more noise. There is only hope. Railway handling point infrastructure makes it more expensive in India. Works good for container operatioons, not for wagon operations. Some times cost of loading wagon is equivalent to freight cost of 500 Kms.... there is no long-trerm vision to address real crunch.

Finally, someone has the courage to speak the truth about India’s world economic standing. Modi and Indian media have been on overdrive trying to convince people that India’s economy has been growing faster than China’s in the past few quarters and is poised to surpass China’s in the next couple of decades. Dream on. Despite the faster growth rate, the gap between the two economies continues to widen. Unless the gap narrows, there is not a hope in hell for India to catch up, never mind surpassing China.

We learn how to design planes, how to construct paved roads, how to build cars or run the latest nuclear submarines, and in the midst of all this technology we forget that we are human beings - which means that we are filling our hearts with the things of the mind. Our lives are very empty now, are they not? You may have a college degree, you may get married and be well off, you may be very clever, have a great deal of information, know the latest books; but as long as you fill your heart with the things of the mind, your life is bound to be empty, ugly, and it will have very little meaning. well,i am a Chinese,i think your video is very good on accountant examples. China and india are so different.i think China has several advantages.first.the authoritarian government,which might be prompt in acting a infrastructural intention,and less geographic obstacles within the country,and less local power to interfer the unified market, India is basically on the opposite,the Western part of China is of high altitude and it did hinder the China's economy and it was solved recently by railway and highway constructions but the Eastern part is of low altitude relatively to be improved at the very beginning and it is vast enough,while india is covered by plateau in Central territories the connection among the surrounding coastal areas is weak and the transportation cost is tremendous ,and since as such geographic reason,there are so many differences in religion and culture among indian states,in certain specific issues,the agreements are harder to reach.i remember i used to read an article about indian merchant taxes,it seemed that when goods are passing different states,they needed to be charged different taxes of each states,i don't know if it still like this,but in China that is never be the case for recent seventy years. in addition to that,i want to point out almost every developed country growed at its full speed period in Authoritarianism(especially in economic fields which characterized with planned economy and socialism). today we might call some countries democratic countries,but when it's developed most,it didn't complete the Democratic transformation,such as Taiwan and South Korea ,Japan,and Singapore. As for the precedent,Germany before and after WWII is same,the British and USA,the authoritarian was mainly toward outside market, so as far as I'm concerned,countries like India,didn't go through this procedure and went directly into democracy might be a disadvantage. and I've heard a heresay about due to religious reasons some indian people don't value punctuality such as reincarnation,i think if the tendency exists it can be overcomed,actually Indian people are very hardworking people. above is from my point of view,I don't know if it's accurate or on how much extent it is in accordance,but i do hope indian economy will overcome the barriers to gain its tallying status.

In fact, China's main logistics is still road transportation. But China's highway network is very well developed. Probably, Indians will say that we also have a well-developed highway network. This brings us to how to define a highway. A very simple statement can be understood by Indians: No cattle can stay on our highways unless in a transport truck.

I am an American who really enjoys your videos. I'd guess I've watched 50 of them, but this is my first comment. After I retired from teaching in the US I moved to India intending to spend the rest of my days there. I love so much about India. I am a reading teacher. I found an Indian school in which the K students were not learning to read. I volunteered to train the teachers in reading methods. They said they wanted to learn, but they didn't. After two years of making no progress, I returned to the US. This video reminded me of my experience. The teachers didn't want to set aside what they had done that didn't work to learn what did work and help their students achieve success. They had more concern for the appearance than the outcome. I urge young Indians who read this to really consider it. If you can transition from focusing on how your efforts look to you and focus instead on the results of your efforts, you may find it's a wonderful, exhilarating shift for yourself and for India.

The over reliance on road is simply a response to the enourmous expansion of road network under Vajpayee and then under Modi. If UPA -I II had kept the pace in 2004 to 2014 we would be in a much better place today.

i would like to point out one mistake here. from the last 1-2 years, I have been travelling enough to say that nowadays Indian Railways prioritises freight and goods train over passenger ones. i have seen it happening infront of own eyes and have faced several hours of delay in my passenger train's schedule.
@suvrajyotigupta2005

Not really. But goods trains have actually increased in number. IR should privatise passenger transport and get rid of non-AC passenger trains, they don't earn IR any revenue!

In India, it's not all about political will only. Even though there's Political will, there are numerous obstacles. Such infrastructure developments seek extra land and so do the efforts to acquisition. In India such actions are absolutely tricky and time consuming where as in China it's all together opposite situation. There's serious scarcity of ownership in us and without it no one can lift us, our development is in our hands only.

Very informative lesson! Great job, as always. However, in your calculation on the monetary impact of lead times, you missed adding carrying cost. The more time it takes for the dispatch to cash cycle to complete, the more interest the trader has to pay on the capital. This further increases the gap between India and China.

I almost missed my train in Darbhanga due to high no. passengers sitting on the gates, and it wasn't sleeper coach example but it is off 3rd AC.

Excellent channel! The video is very informative..and sobering. India is not yet a China competitor but politicians are selling the future and voters are buying dreams. Exactly the same in Western countries, but here the railways were built a hundred years ago, so goods are moving even as we de-industrialize, and the dreams our politicians sell are jokes, like gender pronouns and zero-interest money.

I agree... everything depends on Goverance. That's why China economy skyrocketed; You can't hold any protest against any projects private/govt, everything is under govt. control, even the private companies have to accept no obligation in which the chinese govt. can ask for any data & they have to give without any question; govt. can take any land with force from the public and give compensation/another place without the citizen's consent; by doing all these they were able to come at this stage. But in India we protest for even 10rs change in fees and against everything though it from infra projects or college setups (educated guys will know about those things). In democracy it will take time and under Modi governance it is doing excellent than those 40 years of puppet rule.

No, China government cannot just take away land by force. They have to get the consent and cooperation of the owners of the land, buildings. Haven't you seen the many evidence of China's nail houses!! They had to build infrastructure around them!! Try doing that in UK. You think they will build around you? No way!

China's government owned railways give top services at a affordable cost(PPP) and treat it as a public service while india treat railways as a private profit making entity. India also focusing more on building more inefficient model of transport that is roads instead of railways and waterways which are more efficient.

Logistics consists of the transportation, services, distribution, warehousing, packaging, handling, circulation and processing of goods, as well as related logistics information. Today in the 21st century, modern logistics has the following four characteristics: e-commerce and logistics are closely integrated. Modern logistics is the unification of logistics, information flow, capital flow and talent flow; e-commerce logistics is informatization, automation, networking and intelligence. The combination of modernization and flexibility; the standardization of logistics facilities and commodity packaging, and the socialization and commonization of logistics are also new features of the logistics model under e-commerce. The five major components of modern logistics information technology are: barcode technology, EDI technology, radio frequency technology (RFID), GIS technology (geographic information system), and GPS technology (China uses Beidou satellites). China's logistics market has ranked first in the world for seven consecutive years. China's perfect logistics network is the foundation for China to become the world's factory. However, India is still at the initial stage of understanding modern logistics, and many places are still in a state of power shortage. Therefore, modern logistics is still far away from India.
