On the 100th anniversary of James Joyce's "Dubliners," three New Yorkers among the book's biggest fans talk about how the Irish writer's collection of stories continue to inspire them: author Victor LaValle, Larry Kirwan of the band Black 47, and author and broadcaster Frank Delaney.

The dead is though. I agree with you however, Ulysses is a divine work of art. I dont really care about finnegans wake. Even if it is the dialect of genius, I dont really care about it

I've only read the first 3 stories so far and love all of them tbh. I get that it's not for everyone but it has the feel of going to your grandma's house
