Tried this yesterday, since as a beginner I suck at bending my knees. I sure looked like an idiot doing this, but it was great to see how much speed I could gain just by using my knees more.

Can't wait till my ice rink opens again. I don't have a real coach but I taught myself almost everything from your channel!^^

My coach has been emphasizing "bend the knee" and I thought I was bending it but I recently started Physical Therapy after back surgery and my therapist has had me doing some deep knee bend exercises. I started applying them on the ice and I am finally getting beginning spins and jumps after several years of struggling with them.

Very impressive, but can you teach the coaches to explain it to the students, instead of just screaming "BEND" like a maniac 🙏

I always want to show my coaches these great KZbin videos , but I'm sure they wouldn't like it too much so after I class I get bring phone out to the ice ....I actually learn more from some of these great KZbin videos than I do in my classes.

Good video- those knees, yes! I miss the ice! Our Seattle, WA, USA rinks are still closed, except for the high level skaters and their coaches. So many restrictions which but I’m okay with it - better safe than sorry! So us mid level adult skaters just waiting for more ice time and no pandemic , I miss my coach and skating family 🥰

This is really going to help me, my coaches probably tell me to bend my knees 10 times a class. Awesome exercise !

This is a great video and one of my all time favorites on KZbin! It would be nice if Stefano could share more of his wisdom with us and appear in more videos.

Unbelievable. You’ve explained it so well. Thank you.

Today I had my first lesson with school kids, 7-8 yrs.. As an "instructor". They had 3 lessons with real instructors before. Noone from these 15 kids was able to bend in knees. I showed them the very basic exercises, all of them just "clapping" around somehow, all of them legs to "x" shapes, they didn't know even the very basic "rules" how to ... 😟 I hope we will continue in skating lessons and they get better. "Bend your knees" (together with "stay straight, your skates right under you, not bent somewhere away") was my today's mantra 🤣 Thousand times...
