It`s exactly all of those small souvenir shops and local pottery that I like. :)

I agree with all you have shown. Just got back from Japan 2days ago after month in Japan, we visited. Kusatsu, beppu,Hakone,Yufuin , spectacular. No 1 was definitely Kusatsu. We visited the North to the south. Amazing country.

Thanks for sharing! I'd put Beppu 2nd too, although I do think Noboribetsu is fantastic.

Yeah for sure Beppu Oita definitely is 2nd

While I haven't been to Kusatsu it sure looks nice. I was going to Kinosaki but those trip plans got cancelled due to the pandemic. I'm going to have to put on the "things to do" for my next trip. For those new to Japan I think Hakone might be a great one. It's on the way to/from Tokyo > Osaka/Kyoto/Nara anyway and you can hopefully see Mt. Fuji and who doesn't want to see that? Personally I've been to Kurokawa onsen town and if you like you can also do Beppu and Yufuin as they are all within about 2-3 hours of each other driving.
@japanunravelled Жыл бұрын
Yeah, I agree with you, a very good suggestion. The other one to suggest of course is Kawaguchiko - both great places for the views. Totally with you too on Kurokawa. Best to have a car yes, although I managed to get there on local buses (corona stopped the highway buses). Such a picturesque place! Which do you prefer out of Beppu and Yufuin?

I will add we found JR pass was really good. But we hired rental cars on 5 occasions for 3 days each time. It's THE best way to see a lot of places that were very difficult to get with the pass . I'm heading back 2025 this will be our 3rd visit.
@japanunravelled Жыл бұрын
That's awesome! I'm curious to know which places you visited with the car.

Niseko. Oita, Hakone , kusatsu, just basically traveled in the regions around above. So many to mention. You can pick up rental in one city and drop off at another. We did a road trip from Sendai to Chiba. Using toll roads. Great fun beautiful scenery that l have never seen in my life.
@japanunravelled Жыл бұрын
Oh that makes a lot of sense, a brilliant way to take in great scenery. If you love driving and fantastic scenery then my two recommendations are Kyushu, especially around Mt. Aso, and of course Hokkaido. I'm sure you have a lot of ideas for your 2025 trip.

@@japanunravelled yes l honestly think Japan can be confusing to travel. But we are on top of it now. One of the memorable parts of the trip was over night ferry from kobe to Oita. We used Sunflower.

Dude you speak so good. I think It would be better if you add a calm background music.
@japanunravelled Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the feedback! Yes, I totally agree with you. Most videos I've made since this one have some kind of music, but calming would have been good on this one for sure.
