A user named Legatus would comment on the youtuber Critikals videos every day to get him review LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga on his moist meter review series. This garnered Legatus a large following (including me), and he had a discord which also gained a lot members through the meme (I'm still a admin on it, though it's not active in the slightest anymore). Since late 2018 we've sort of witnessed these spikes in LEGO Star Wars memes that seem to come and go, though I do have to say the tiktok one allowed a much larger audience to participate, making it much more popular.

I haven’t played Lego Star Wars in over 10 years! I bought the Complete Saga on Steam a few days ago and I can honestly tell you it’s just like playing it when I was kid. I’m just hooked! I’m also a huge Star Wars fan. Watched all nine movies, seen both Clone Wars, read the books and I own the games like the original Battlefront 2, Jedi Knight and Fallen Order. Planning on getting the other Battlefront 2 on PS4. Just awesome!!!

This hits home for me on so many levels. Also grew up in VT, also sequestered myself inside to play video games, especially Lego Star Wars. I hadn't touched the game for nearly a decade, until the rise of memes and the new movie reminded me of it, and just today downloaded the pc version, and I've been having a blast!

I don't use TikTok, but that doesn't mean we should act like old '90s kids and hate the new stuff. Greatest generation rapped on television, baby boomers trashed the Internet, generation X took a dump on early social networking, millennials with later social media...us younger millennials and zoomers are finna perpetuate the cycle. We all reminisce about our childhood because we only remember good stuff. Younger zoomers are gonna shit on the next trendy app or holographic brain implants in 20 years and talk about how wonderful and universally high quality TikTok was/is. Stop perpetuating the cycle. Every new medium has to find its legs, don't delegitmize and hate on new content creators and content creation...methods. We have to make mistakes to learn and get better, and we build on the foundations and shoulders of old giants and are inspired by past media/entertainment anyhow! I don't use TikTok, but it's no reason for me, as a 21-year-old in 2020, to be all "kids these days" and "other" TikTok, acting like 90% of it sucks, when every other medium has the same problem! We all love what we love, let's stop stereotyping and miscasting each other because of age, race, and other bullshit social constructs! Ok, rant over. *Yoda death sound.*
