His consistent style of play while traditionally textbook spiking alongside his long experience is what makes him that great. He is the ideal player you want in a team.

If matt anderson retires ,i don t wana see volleyball anny league , becuz they don t have a volleyball player who use a smoothly whip spike swing ( use all body to spike a ball)

First time I saw him live was when he was a national team rookie playing the outside. You are 100% right about his skill level. It’s crazy how consistent he is. Although, I did also see him hit OVER an international size block and in. When I saw that I just shook my head and thought, “Damn…I’ve never seen that before in 15 years of playing.”

My favorite Matt Anderson. The great player for me. A versatile player in court and one of the handsomest volleyball player ever. Thanks featuring him.

Heck yeah, I've been looking forward to this video! Also; could you do a video on a young rising star like Alexander Nikolov? Civitanova Lube signed him till 2028 and I want to know what makes him so good (Especially what about him helped propel Long Beach to the NCAA national championships in 2022)?

Great video! Matt Anderson is a classic old but gold elite and versatile player. I always enjoyed his fantastic game IQ and technique. Could you try doing a video on the setter of USA Micah Christenson?? Love your videos❤️❤️❤️

first side question: Hey coach, I'm a 15 year old volleyball player from New Zealand that switches between tennis and volleyball frequently. I often struggle with my spike arm swing technique when coming from tennis as tennis has its own unique arm swing mechanic. How do you recommend I practice my volleyball arm swing at home to get back into it as the volleyball season starts up again. Great video btw, love the way you break down every aspect of the player's game, keep on doing what you're doing.

I had trouble going from hockey to volleyball. But i found it easier to get my arm swing to start with my elbow then follow with my hand for a hit. Also maybe try to make your unique arm swing an advantage. I used much of my leg power to be fast enough to switch to a better position to hit. And a better approach.

Hi coach Donny I’m 16 and I want to go pro but I’m struggling being the ace of my team. I hit well and jump really high at 6’3 but I can’t consistently score on the right side due to blocks and adjusting to sets and hitting it out. I also can’t hit a c ball. My swing and approach are really good and I’m consistently serving powerful spinners. Can you help?
