Mt. Fuji is important to Japan for various reasons all starting from centuries ago. Mt Fuji is connected to Japanese history itself, and as Japan entered new centuries, so too did Mt Fuji, ready to start a new chapter in history together.
Thank you so much for watching.

The first shot was not Mt Fuji. That’s another volcano in Hokkaido.

A good video but it also contains errors. First, as pointed out by another viewer, the first shot is not that of Mt. Fuji but of Mt. Yotei in Hokkaido. Second, shinto is indigenous to Japan. Buddhism came to Japan in the 6th century. Third, buddhism has nothing to do with wonderment and worship of nature, the heart of shinto. I would disregard all the remarks and references made about buddhism here.

Yeah, your right. I mentioned that Buddhism came to Japan in the 6th century, and that Shinto emerged later on, but I should have made the distinction between Shinto and Buddhism more clear to avoid confusion or potentially suggesting the mistakes you mentioned above. And the first shot was an oversight, my bad. Thanks for clearing some things up, appreciate it

Yeah, my older vids are hard for me to listen to. Been learning how to make the audio better, but still a lot of room to improve. Thanks for the suggestions

Thank you for posting this video. Not trying to be sarcastic here, but I just saved myself the airfare and time to make the trip. Mt. Fuji and the surrounding area is being overused. I just made my statement to avoid being part of that problem. Same with Hawaii and other popular places. KZbin is such a nice resource. I can see things I never would have been able to see. 👍

Why would you say shinto emerged after bhuddism? Wrong. Shinto is indegenous and is the oldest.
