Good looking out. Having been in the construction trades for 24 years I've replaced tons of parts on compressors. The air leak from loader valve was a new one for me. I was able to take the back cap nut off and clean mine out. Worked like a charm. Thank you.

Juat used this information for a repair. Found some metal shavings stuck in the check valve. Was able to get the shavings out and compressor functions normally now. Great video.

Great question! It will not affect the performance of the switch at all. It can be installed at any angle.

What causes air is coming out of the pressure release switch valve hole the whole time the air pressure is being raised up to fill the tank and once the tank is filled the pressure switch shuts off and the release valve pin is raised up and lets out the pressure in the line and no more air comes out of the pressure release valve hole ? There is 2 parts of the pressure switch release valve .On one side , the line in side , when the pressure switch is on it moves the arm away from the pin . As the pressure builds up air is being sent to the top of the release valve . There should be no air coming out of the pressure release valves hole while the motor is on . If air is coming out of the hole this means the top O ring seal is leaking and is allowing air to escape the whole time the motor is running . This is going to make the motor run a lot longer to fill up the tank . Once the motor shuts off and the pin is raised up to allow the air in the line to leave the one way valve shuts off air to the pressure release valve and you no longer hear air leaking . When this happens you know the one way valve is working and the pressure valve is not . Just because once the one way valve shuts off air going to the pressure release valve that doesn't mean the pressure release valve is working . It only means there is no more pressure in that line . So as the compressor is running listen and feel for air coming out of the pressure release valve hole ,if you hear air coming out of the hole while its running but you don't once it stops then its the pressure release valve that is bad and needs to be replaced .

What I am seeing with mine is, the unloader valve only leaks when the compressor is running. So it continuously leaks when the compressor kicks on. But once it kicks off, it doesn't leak. Everything works as normal. From what I remember, this unloader valve shouldn't spit out any air while it's running. Only when it shuts off it spits out air for a second or so. But for some reason it's just continually leaking only when the compressor is running but not when it cuts off. Any ideas?? Thanks.

Just now running across this video. Have a 33 Gal Craftsman 110V compressor. Initial problem was the tank was leaking air from somewhere. Replaced pressure switch (adjusted to lower cut off to 135 lbs) All tubing was good. New copper pipe with ferrels. Wraped all threads clockwise with teflon tape and used pipe dope on top of that. It was still leaking air out of the tank. Then replaced the check valve. Same means of securing all connnection with Teflon tape and pipe dope., So NOW, I have changed out every single port coming out of the tank, INcluding drain valve. 1/4 turn ball valve on output before going to pressure regulator and on drain valve at bottom of tank. The damn thing is still loosing 15-20 psi over a 12 hour period. HOW CAN THIS BE? Passed the soapy water test and not a single bubble. *Stumped*

Most likely yes. If the air is not leaking from the unloader valve and leaking from somewhere else then it's a bad switch.
