Thanks for the review. Never heard of this before! I’m a nurse and have been eating in my car during my break for the last 10 months due to Covid. I’ve eaten the same cold sandwich every single day. Being able to eat some yummy left overs would be life changing!

Thanks for spreading the word on this little gem, you nailed it, so underrated. I've used my 12V version mainly on road trips but I've recently purchased a portable power station, and using this combo (the Hotlogic Mini only draws 40-45 watts) has opened up more possibilities, such as cooking in my car while I'm hiking and getting back to a hot meal. Or car camping, as an alternative to campfires, or portable stoves where you have to lug around propane/butane - some camp spots don't even allow campfires or cooking in the open (such as if bears are around), so again the power station combo in the car becomes even more viable.
@roselsimpson858

Totally agree, the power station hot logic combo is a game changer. Having a hot meal at the ready at all times leaves more time for adventure. I added an additional battery in the back of my jeep that i charge up before the trip and use it as my power source. Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching stay tuned!

I have 2 mini's. 1 at home and 1 in my semi as I am a over the road driver. I prep my meals and on average I paid for both in the first 2 weeks in savings from not eating truck stop foods. And added benefit is I have lost 21lbs because I am eating healthier, cleaner foods. Looking to buy at least 1 of the larger ones.

I'm in the middle of doing some research to up my road trip cooking game and have watched several great videos about how great this product is already before coming upon yours. My advice is to expand your search to truckers as well as people living in other kinds of vehicles such as cars, SUVs and minivans since their space is way more confined, they have to be more creative. Hope that helps, happy travels!

The minimal power usage alone should make everyone consider using these. I have two mini HLs. I didn't get the larger one because it's just myself and all the ads I saw showed it heating up a giant casserole dish (which is for multiple people). Well, when I see you using two smaller food containers side by side, THAT is a good reason for me to get one. Just FYI, there is a new food warmer called the SabotHeat which heats up food faster. That doesn't mean the HL isn't as good--just takes a little longer. But the HL is still a great cooking tool.

Power usage is based on time over temperature. If you have a higher power 144W stove, takes 30m to heat and the hot logic will take 3 times as long to heat up the same food. No difference in power usage except for time lost waiting. And I think that is the issue why these do not take off, its the time it takes to place in the oven heat up and start eating. What I don't like about the HL is you really don't know if the unit is on or not, So when plugged in you know there will be 30 to an hour wait before eating. If the unit is plugged in and there is no power going to it and when you get back in 30 to 60 mins it's still cold. You just wasted all that time and now very hungry. Add a simple light to the cord, cost almost nothing. Based on your videos you seemed to be committed to the HL system, but you should try the Sabotheat. It's twice the power has a built in timer and a temperature controller. Far more flexible then HL

I really wanna get the hot logic mini I just had a few questions. Maybe u can help with. Can I cook a steak in a bowl made from tin foil in it? If so is there anyway to get that nice delicious, browning, maillard effect on it? Since there's no buttons or anything. Lastly, once again without buttions, temp control, etc... How will it know when my steak is a nice medium-rare? Without ME checking and temping it over and over?(especially if I'm starting from a frozen piece of meat.
@roselsimpson858
@roselsimpson858 2 жыл бұрын
Great questions; yes the Hot Logic takes almost any kind of boils to include DIY tin foil just be care not to leave any gaps, don't want leakage. There is really no way to get the browning effect with the Hot Logic alone, at 165 degrees we are talking low and slow. You can toss it in a hot skillet for a minute or 2 on each side after removal. As far as medium rare steak I wouldn't even start checking it before the 2.5 to 3 hour mark. 145 is considered medium remember the hot logic stay at 165 you can pretty much set it and forget it. I don't think your steak will ever reach well done. Hope this helped. Thanks for watching stay tuned there may be a future video here!!!

I like medium rare as well, but since the hot logic has no temperature regulation you have to use time instead!
