You missed the bit where he said it was not a religious mosque but a triumphal mosque. It is that structure which had nothing religious about it. It had to go. The sense of pride is not misplaced. In an ordinary common law court, it is a simple case of tort being made right. Justice in the restoration of what has been destroyed. And no, the preceding structure was built on top of a temple.

@@krishnanunnimadathil8142 yes, hypothetically one is living peacefully… someone breaks in, loots and steals… we feel violated, angry….and we want to get back to peaceful or see the justice done (except this happened 1000 years ago). So muslims ruled for 1000 years….this temple couldnt be the only ‘stuff’ they broke. They probably converted many hindus. Raped and pillaged. How are you going to get justice for everything? I am just curious that if settling past scores is what gives you peace, then how many other sorrows are buried in heart and when will it find peace. Or is one mandir symbolic enough to settle all old accounts and get a fresh start? And what about angrez, all the stuff they broke… there must be some churches built on hindu lands… Otherwise past justice is not complete….is it? Anyways, ultimately there is no end to mental level arguments, counter opinions…probably all of them are right in their own way. That is sansara. Human mind can twist and create clever thoughts. What about the hearts and how we feel inside? It is beyond the level of thoughts and words. It is for each individual to introspect what is in their heart, what are the intentions behind their actions and words… what is their purpose or path to peace, or if they even care for it…
