Why is Rapture so Confusing and when will it happen?

Rapture is a fascinating subject that nearly all Christians believe in, primarily because it is one of the main events prior to the 2nd coming of Jesus Christ and the event that saves the righteous before the destruction of the wicked which most websites that discuss the rapture call “The Godless Unbelievers”. A little harsh but okay. In my experience, I find that Christians by default assume that what they believe about the rapture is what they think everyone else believes about the rapture which isn’t true. While nearly all Christians believe in some form of Rapture, only certain religious denominations call it by that name. These various misunderstandings causes a lot of confusion between Christians as they discuss this topic. For example, the belief around when and how the rapture occurs is very different across Christianity. In this video, I’m going to try to help us all understand each other as we discuss the rapture and hopefully we can learn some additional things about it along the way.
This video discusses what the Rapture is, who believes in it, and what and when each group believes it will happen. This video also discusses the prophesies that need to happen prior.

😇 When is the Rapture going to occur in relation to the Tribulation? 😇 The timing of the rapture in relation to the tribulation is one of the most controversial issues in the church today. The three primary views are pre-tribulational (the rapture occurs before the tribulation), mid-tribulational (the rapture occurs at or near the mid-point of the tribulation), and post-tribulational (the rapture occurs at the end of the tribulation). A fourth view, commonly known as pre-wrath, is a slight modification of the mid-tribulational position. First, it is important to recognize the purpose of the tribulation. According to Daniel 9:27, there is a seventieth “seven” (seven years) that is still yet to come. Daniel’s entire prophecy of the seventy sevens (Daniel 9:20-27) is speaking of the nation of Israel. It is a time period in which God focuses His attention especially on Israel. The seventieth seven, the tribulation, must also be a time when God deals specifically with Israel. While this does not necessarily indicate that the church could not also be present, it does bring into question why the church would need to be on the earth during that time. The primary Scripture passage on the rapture is 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18. It states that all living believers, along with all believers who have died, will meet the Lord Jesus in the air and will be with Him forever. The rapture is God’s removing of His people from the earth. A few verses later, in 1 Thessalonians 5:9, Paul says, “For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.” The book of Revelation, which deals primarily with the time period of the tribulation, is a prophetic message of how God will pour out His wrath upon the earth during the tribulation. It seems inconsistent for God to promise believers that they will not suffer wrath and then leave them on the earth to suffer through the wrath of the tribulation. The fact that God promises to deliver Christians from wrath shortly after promising to remove His people from the earth seems to link those two events together. Another crucial passage on the timing of the rapture is Revelation 3:10, in which Christ promises to deliver believers from the “hour of trial” that is going to come upon the earth. This could mean two things. Either Christ will protect believers in the midst of the trials, or He will deliver believers out of the trials. Both are valid meanings of the Greek word translated “from.” However, it is important to recognize what believers are promised to be kept from. It is not just the trial, but the “hour” of trial. Christ is promising to keep believers from the very time period that contains the trials, namely the tribulation. The purpose of the tribulation, the purpose of the rapture, the meaning of 1 Thessalonians 5:9, and the interpretation of Revelation 3:10 all give clear support to the pre-tribulational position. We emailed you about this very topic several months ago, especially in respect of who would be upon the earth after the Second Coming. We asked if we could compare this to a 3 Nephi event, where the more righteous were spared. We realize that with the Second Coming or Rapture-according to the world-that the righteous dead and the righteous upon the earth will be taken up to heaven this time. The wicked will be burnt as stubble, leaving those "in-between" remaining upon the earth. Of course, some of the righteous will return to the earth with the Savior to finish missionary work and perform work in the temples. Thank you for clearing up just how the LDS Church of Jesus Christ views the Rapture compared to other churches. We felt it was handled very tactfully. We will all eventually see how everything plays out up to and beyond the Second Coming. Thank you very much!

Why do you think some Christians will be spared when there are already Christians being killed for their faith all over the world? As long as the Church is present on the earth it can restrain the Antichrist. Therefore the Church must be raptured before the Antichrist can come to power. God told Daniel that Israel (Kingdom of Judah and Kingdom of Israel) will have 490 years to complete the work of God's chosen People. 483 of these years have passed. So Israel still has 1 week left. The Church has to be raptured before these last 7 years begin. The rapture has to come before the Tribulation period.

I felt just like you and I feel now that I just came out of it. I started going to the temple more and praying and being more obedient ( not that I wasn’t doing these things before) but I did more earnestly and with purpose and after the the General conference I got peace and everything just calm down for me. I’m at peace and even if things get worse it will be ok. Nothing changed but I changed and I gained peace that only comes from the Lord. It’s hard to explain but I got so much understanding of why things are the way there are right now. It’s amazing. My focus now is in helping others to get through this because we have a lot of work ahead of us

It would be fun as a fiction but never as doctrine. I'm grateful we are in the true church where God is a God of simplicity not confusion. I know exactly when it going to happen the rapture that is. I’m looking at your chart and I see something I don’t really understand. After the persecution of the saints, the remnant flee to Zion, then the temple is built, then the city. But then later on I see the healing of the land around Zion, rebuilding of the temple of Zion, rebuilding the city of Zion, then Christ appears at Adam-Ondi-Ahman. What does this mean? Where can research the scriptures about this? Did Joseph Smith or other latter day leaders ever mention this? As a member of the LDS church, I never ever heard about the rapture growing up in the church. But I started having visions and dreams about it and had some major ones that changed my life over 30 years. Though I’m willing to be wrong I strongly believe in a pre-tribulation rapture which I can never talk about in the church because they think I’m out of my mind. And I believe the reason latter-day Saints don’t believe in a pre-tribulation rapture is because the overwhelming majority of them believe that they still have to prove their worthiness in order to access the atonement. In other words, they believe they have to suffer and are not willing to accept the finished work of Christ- for them- right here and right now. Scripture says that the rapture is imminent. How can it be imminent and be at the end of the tribulation? Certain things will occur during the tribulation that will make it abundantly clear where in the 7 year tribulation timeline we are at. Because John made it clear several things that occur at specific times during the tribulation and when they will happen, we will be able to know pretty close to within a few months what the mid tribulation point is. therefore we can calculate the second coming 3 1/2 years later. That destroys the imminence of the rapture. (the rapture can’t happen at the end of the tribulation or it won’t be imminent). Also scripture makes it clear that Christ’s bride will be saved FROM the wrath. Not through the wrath, but from the wrath. IT ALSO STATES THAT HIS CALLING HIS BRIDE HOME FOR THE WEDDING supper of the Lamb-Will occur at a time “as in the days of Noah.” Which means people will be ‘eating, drinking, marrying and giving in marriage.’ It will be all about every day normal business. If you’ve read tribulation, you know that the end of the tribulation will be the furthest thing from normal in all of history. So much death and destruction. Scripture says if Christ come there would be no one left alive! (does that sound like it in the days of Noah before the flood came? ) People won’t even be able to find things to eat, let alone partying like they did right before the flood came. (they never thought the water would never lift that boat.) As I began so will I finish: the reason I believe in a pre-trib rapture is the many dreams and visions I have seen over the last 30 years that God has given me. But as always I have found a ton of confirmations in the Scriptures and people like Amir Tsarfati, who in his ‘removed before wrath’ video (which is done so beautifully and explains it’s so well you cannot mistake it.) I’ve always wondered what the “first resurrection” really means. The actual 1st resurrection event occurred when Christ was resurrected and many righteous was resurrected and walked the streets 2000 years ago! So why do we pronounce promises on the decades to come forth in the morning of the first resurrection? The 2nd resurrection event (also called the “first”) will occur just prior to His coming in the ‘clouds only’ to harpazo (catch up/deliver) His bride/believers to spend a few years in heaven with Him. They will be the ones riding with the hosts of heaven behind Christ at His 2nd coming! Then the 3rd time there is a “first resurrection” is when Christ comes and His foot touches down on the mount of olives at His 2nd coming. (why would he come down to earth to cleanse and purify it, establish Zion for 1000 years where He will rule as king of kings- at the very same time He’s coming for his Saints to take them up to heaven for the wedding??? Is He going to take the bride up and bounce her right back down? Makes no sense. Anyway back to why multiple resurrections are called ‘FIRST’ resurrection. I have a question ⁉️ if the rapture is real, then why are Christians already being persecuted, tortured and killed for their faith? Are other Christians somehow more valuable or special than the Christians who are more than willing to die for their faith? Why wouldn't you want to experience the blessing of martyrdom? I think lots of Christians are scared to have to experience martyrdom and fear how uncomfortable they will be during the great tribulation, but if you truly know Christ then you wouldn't fear the great tribulation at all. Youd feel blessed to prove your undying devotion to our Lord who died for us on the cross. Fear is of the devil and fear is what the rapture doctrine is based on.

A surprise would mean nobody is at all concerned and happy with their materialism and the world is just perfect (people's thinking), without God. That would set things up for a surprise. Currently, I see a lot of people seeking The Holy Spirit of God. Currently, I see a lot of people coming to understand that it's more likely they will leave this place, before the place leaves them. (2 Peter 3-9) The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise as some understand slowness, but is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish but everyone to come to repentance.

You should make a vid about how the Book of Mormon is a parallel to our time. For instance, Abenidi might be compared to Joseph Smith as they both restored the True Gospel after it being corrupted and they both were martyrs. And there was a ginormous earthquake right before Christ appeared to those on the American continent and, clearly, there is supposed to be a another one before the 2nd coming along with the darkness and what not.

I don't think it is a good use of God's doctrine to play politically correct games about the rapture. When Matthew 24 is properly divided, as the Bible told you to do, you will see a pre-tribulation rapture happen. It's the only that properly aligns scriptures. Many Pastors adopt this accept all versions of the rapture. It's a big disservice to Christ and Christians during these end times events we see happening before our eyes in the news. Please focus on doctrine of God and not doctrines of denominations. Christianity is already fragmented and Christ warned us not to do it like when the Orthodox and Catholic church split up. Now we have watered down versions of God's doctrine created by man like Jehovah's witness, Morman Church, Baptists, and many others.
