This is a very important message today for the church. Frankly, there's been neglect of our leaders, denial. We need to talk in a godly way about this issue. There's a lot of health & mental problems in marriage that interfere with husband & wife coming together.

Pastor Hibbs Thank you so much for this series. I am overjoyed in all that is being taught and all I’m learning. I have been praying and hoping that a pastor and follower of Jesus would speak on this subject. I have been very private about this subject (only God knows my heart on this matter.) Thank you for your obedience to Gods call upon your life.

niftyeagle3 you are being deceived. Better check what you were taught about marriage and divorce with what the Word of God says. Look up marriage/divorce in the index of your Bible and read those passages.

There is no scripture that says love deferred makes the heart grow sick. Proverbs 13:12 “Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life.”

How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? Heb9:14 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Heb10:22 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised); Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.Phil4:8

Once again Jacks gives us his sanctified opinion. He started with a prayer in which he asked that the “message” would honor God....then he proceeded to take questions from an audience and give his sanctified opinions as answers. I wonder if worshiping God with reverence and awe might be honoring to the God who demands it.

Well if she is unwilling, or unable to satisfy him then his alternative is to burn in celibacy? And I'm not talking about that other place ment for exit only. I'm talking 1 way street oral. We both like it but only one of us gets it. 🙁 I dont believe its unholy and yes I'm a follower of Christ!
@Rockonjen15 жыл бұрын
God can help you get over that. I mean if you refuse to be intimate with her because she is uncomfortable doing something that you want... I guess the celibacy is your own choice. You can ask God to help you be "satisfied" even though you dont get that from her. Honestly... It is a very undignified thing to do in my opinion... It feels shameful. And not because there is anything wrong with it. But because it is a humiliating experience. And if you talk to her... And actually listen and try to understand from her perspective... Maybe God will change your heart... Maybe you wont want to make her feel humiliated and undignified. But you have to be able to talk to her. And listen. And be ok with what she says. I wouldnt even try to talk to her about it without really praying and asking God to help you listen without objection. And without trying to convince her to do it anyways ... I mean... Maybe you will ignore this. Maybe it wont even mean anything to you... But if you love her... You will not want to do anything that makes her feel less. Ya know? Listen to her. Find out why. Find out how it makes her feel and try to understand how she feels. I'm sure she considers how you feel. And I'm sure she knows you like that and most likely feels guilty for not being able to satisfy you that way... Like she is not enough for you... And how would you feel if she did it and didnt enjoy it. And was even brought to tears by the way it makes her feel about herself? And about the way she thinks you want her to be to you... Your comment, whether you meant it to or not, sounds very insensitive and almost angry...

@@Rockonjen1 if you like and want the experience then you should be equally willing to share in the pleasure you're receiving. Believe me it's harder for me that is why I insist on Summers Eve. No sister it is not disgusting it's a normal part of foreplay. I feel no conviction from our Lord. The only real argument is what Paul said about him who is fine with meat and he who is not. That is why I dont push for it and yes I do give all but I just remain unsatisfied and I don't openly reveal it. At least i try not to. God bless and thank you for your response and encouragement sister.

If your answers are from God they will be consistent from any other pastor as well. The Word of God does not change. He is consistent and cannot lie. God hates divorce. Malachi 2:16. If there is something God hates, that is a “clue” that we are not to do it. We all will stand before God one day and answer for our choices. Marriage is for life, until death. Romans 7:2-3; 1 Cor. 7:39. If one divorces they cannot remarry until the spouse they divorced dies. Mark 10:1-12; Luke 16:18. Easy enough for a child to understand. I had great respect for Pastor Jack until he taught heresy on the subject of marriage and divorce. How I prayed he would preach the truth. Another disappointment! But God will hold him accountable because God is just and teachers of the Word are held to a higher standard. James 3:1.

Even the Lord gave a certificate of divorce to Israel for her unfaithfulness to Him. Look up Jeremiah Chapter 3. Yet the Lord said in v. 12 "'Return faithless Israel'", declares the Lord, 'I will frown on you no longer, for I am faithful,' declares the Lord. 'I will not be angry forever. v.13 Only acknowledge your guilt - I am a divorced woman who was abused and staying in my marriage would have killed me. Even the verse you quoted Malachi 2:16 gives the reason why God hates divorce :"The man who hates his wife ... does violence to the one he should protect." I am grateful for my Heavenly Father who has loved me and forgives me in my brokenness.

Sara Winger I am sorry Sara for your divorce there is no "easy way out" as they say, it leaves you broken. It is assumed by man that there was no effort on our part to reconcile. When Job suffered his friends suffered with him in silence till they assumed he had caused it and then they accused, God dealt with them. Man's righteousness is wicked. Matt 19:9 And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery. Jesus words. Years of Godly council and the love given for the covering for the spouse did not bring an end to the adultery, therefore, no reconciliation. It was my husband's choice to be unrepentant and to continue. I did not make his choices with the men and women he committed adultery with and if I had not separated from him, my children would be without a mother. It became a choice of life or death and I chose life and my children. GOD literally exposed the sin and he made a way for me and by the way I am free to marry again, but what for? Jack Hibbs described it well it is good to grow up in your marriage together. For me it is not the same to have a husband that is not the father of my children. I have to live my life with a broken family, I would rather not have it be this way. I would rather do the hard work to keep it together, but I cannot do it alone. You are not to be blamed or condemned. I support you my sister, our Father will take care of you. God bless you and keep you. Peace be unto you. I am happy you have a Heavenly Father that loves you so, you are precious, precious, precious to Him. God bless my sister. See you in glory 🙂

You can divorce but not remarry with a living spouse per scripture. You can pray for your spouse-God can do anything including changing your spouse. Read Hosea. Jeremiah 3 shows God did not get a new people but reconciled to Israel. God is not schizophrenic. His Word is clear on divorce and remarriage. You can separate for a time. 1 Cor 7:11. Or you can do things the way of the world and answer for it on judgement day. It is your free will to choose God or the world. James 4:4.
@phyllislot37295 жыл бұрын
Sara Winger God says you can separate, remain single or be reconciled to your spouse. He never wants anyone abused. 1 Cor 7. Prayer for your covenant spouse can produce change. Our God is the God of the impossible. The violence in your husband was not of God but of the devil.
