Many years ago, I made the circuit of our gun shops one day; in Waco, we had five at the time, and by the time I got home, I realized that I had bought three firearms and put one on layaway. I pleaded temporary insanity with the wife when she finally realized what I had done. It all seemed like a great idea at the time.

I live within 25 miles of the Mexican border. I’ve seen more than a few small licensed gun stores and even family owned stores get jammed up for not following the law. There’s various violations but the bottom line is, they all went to federal prison, except the minors, they lost everything they owned, broken up families and will probably penniless when they’re released. Being this close to the border and being former law enforcement that worked along the border, I’ve seen plenty. Even if you buy a gun for your buddy and it winds up in Government hands in Mexico, expect a knock and a ton of questions. It’s too bad Eric Holder and his boss didn’t go to prison for their “Fast and furious” crimes that resulted in the death of a US Border Patrol agent.

The ATF showed up at my door over this. I told them to talk to my lawyer. He told me not to talk to them at all because they have been known to speak to you and then leave your house claiming they got a confession when they did not. The ATF then gave my lawyer a cease and desist order for me to sign. I was shocked how many lies were written on this form. They said they knew I was an illegal gun dealer and a straw buyer and that they knew who my nefarious associates were. All bullshit. I never did any of that. I signed it and my lawyer returned it to them with the proper language stipulating that my signature only meant I read their crap and nothing more. It's hilarious that a REAL bad guy can easily circumvent these forms. So they only get on the case of honest people who attempt no subterfuge. DON'T TALK TO THEM. This is not legal advice. Just my opinion from personal experience.

In the 20+ years of buying firearms only once did I get a call. About 5 years ago I bought 3 100+ year old revolvers. I got a call asking about them. How ironic that I was checked on when these antiques cannot be fired!! One is broken, the other 2 are rimfire black powder loads.

So what does atf do with the info if you refuse to talk to them? Do they file it away or are they required to destroy it? You said a copy goes to the ffl’s local LE. What do they do with it? Keep it on file? Is it now a local le gun registry?

I’ve never gotten the knock but my transferring FFL let me know that he was asked about me during an inspection. Once they looked at what it was, a load of euro spec Sigs that were never offered by NH, it was dropped as no one is spending that kind of money to have stuff Form 6’ed into the country for anything other than being an avid collector.

Chris, thanks for an interesting video. Here in GB, non-muzzle loading handguns are almost impossible to own and every rifled long arm is on a register somewhere. In spite of that, when our Government recently banned 'lever release' semi-semi-auto rifles (sic), the authorities seemed to have no clue as to who actually owned any of them. Instead, their best idea was to contact all registered firearm owners and ask for any 'lever release' rifles to be handed in. Thanks to EU Law, sensible compensation was paid for surrendered arms. I mention this to illustrate that having a national register of firearms is really not going to help law enforcement and gun control anything like as much as advocates think it would.
@Salty_Balls
@Salty_Balls 2 жыл бұрын
No, but a registry allows other tactics to be used, such as the doxxing that California and other blue states with registries have done. They "accidentally" publish gun owners information, such as names, addresses, sometimes how and where they are stored for states with storage laws, and have even published Concealed Carry Permit holders names and info. It's all in hopes of stirring the pot and shaming gun owners. It helps the activists organize and also tips off thieves where they can score something. It also wouldn't be out of the realm of possible for certain employers here would fire you if they're contacted about you and your guns. They'll either cave to pressure because of some activist phone calls or they'll consider you a threat somehow, probably more of the first. I personally have a neighbor that's explicitly told me nobody should own a gun. She's seen me loading rifle cases into my truck before to go to the range. I'm in a gun friendly state, but should that ever turn... She'd probably have me Swatted.

From what I heard from an employee is this guy was buying dozens of guns weekly from several academy's when they got their trucks. The dude was apparently buying the Taurus guns from the dealer then selling them at local gun shows for profit as a private person.

Is the purchase date the date the gun was payed for, or the date the gun was picked up and the 4473 filled out? On more than one occasion, I've purchase a gun online, and then when I went to the store to pick it up, found another gun I liked, so that I ended up leaving the store with two guns.

I hear a lot of "I heard" in this video. Can you name an actual instance that you are personally aware of where ATF went to someones door as you describe "hearing about" and asked to see some of their guns? I have been a gun collector for 42 years I have purchased multiple guns in a week on several occasions and never had this happen, nor do I know anyone this has happened to. However I can see if someones purchases were so many that it may arouse suspicion of illegal dealing that such a visit would be justified. I would personally have no problem producing any of my guns. I see a lot of videos like this asking what seems to be rhetorical questions and have yet to see anyone offer proof of a real incident of this happening. As long as law enforcement is acting as it should and doing its job to enforce our laws then we should support them and not work to make them look suspicious or ominous and certainly not enemies of the people. Now if one of them chokes someone to death for selling loose cigarettes on the street or passing a phony $50 and that is verified the go right on with vilifying the scumbag who perpetrated it.

The most notable example is that of a man in Delaware who recently received a visit from the ATF as part of an multi-gun investigation. The exchange was caught on his "Ring" camera system. It is discussed at length in an Ammoland article (www.ammoland.com/2022/07/atf-conduct-surprise-inspection-at-mans-home-without-warrant-video/#axzz7ZWC3fGbK). This story has been making the rounds on YT and other social media outlets (it has made quite a splash). With it, I have noticed there seems to be a lot interest in what is going on (as many people clearly do not understand the multi-gun form process). As such, I have made this video to clear up some of the "fog" around the multiple disposition record and the likely reasons for these investigations.

what a bunch of compliant people you all are..! I'm all for obeying the law okay but when the government nannies want to verify if my purchases are in my possession and they send armed agents to verify this... All I can think of is all the missed opportunities these 3 letter agencies failed to take down going way back to Oklahoma and Trade Center bombings... the Olympic Park bombings had agents trying to frame a security guard who ends up being the freaking hero..!? Boston marathon and of course September 11 ,2001...I understand that as law abiding citizens we've been targeted more than the criminals..? it's reversed "guilty until proven innocent..." we must go the extra measure to prove ourselves not a threat but in reality that threat is from a tyrannical government trying to create issues that will lead to the restriction or repeal of the 2nd amendment... a FFL is a tricky thing to hold onto so don't wade into the deep waters of politics when you have your livelihood at risk and therefore limits on speech or biases.. surely you are Indiana nice but to protect these rights you need grit and a defiant attitude because these rights weren't granted by government..! WE WERE ENDOWED BY OUR CREATOR WITH CERTAIN UNALIENABLE RIGHTS, THAT AMONG THESE ARE LIFE, LIBERTY AND THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS... It's not just words on a document it's every reason we chose to comply with and be governed by bureaucrats and their armed agents... Is it really any different today as say pre-revolutionary Boston when red coated soldiers knocked on your door..? ⚖️🗽☯️🇺🇲
