Why is the WINDOW BROKEN? Delta A319 ECONOMY Review

To end my epic trip, I had a quick flight on Delta's A319 in main cabin. There's free Wi-Fi now, which is great. But what the hell is wrong with the window? Let's see on this quick flight from Minneapolis to Chicago O'Hare.

What makes this look bad on Delta is that they have no retirement plan for A319s and because their A319s have had this interior for only a few years, this is actually a relatively new interior, where panels, seats, and bins are only a few years old. A flight where I could understand why the plane is in a bad condition would be on a plane that has an outgoing interior (retrofits or retirements coming soon). Examples would be Delta’s 737-800s which some of them will get retrofitted soon, some of Delta’s 763s and 752 which Delta is in the middle of retrofitting, AA’s A321Ts, A319s, and A320s which will get Oasis soon, AA’s 777-300ERs which will also get retrofitted soon, Jetblue’s E190s which will retire soon, United’s narrowbodies that have not gotten the NEXT upgrades, and some of United’s A320s that will retire soon

I’m flying on Delta and United in a few weeks and based from what I’ve seen, they’re no different from American besides IFE. Thankfully I’m flying on an A220 so I don’t have to deal with broken and outdated interiors

Delta's wifi have been mixed in my experience. On a flight a year ago, the A321neo's wifi worked great and steaming videos and any other work worked almost instantly. ( It worked like 40 ups and 5 downs or something ) But now, a year later I take the same aircraft type, ( A321neo ) and I could not get any steaming to work and google docs even take a little to load up. So it very depends on how many people are on your flight and how many people are using the wifi. I would say if the flights kind of full, the wifi will most likely not be that great if useable at all. Also, WHAT IS UP WITH DELTA's TAXI's? My plane when landing in Seattle take TWO full laps around the satellite S GATES before parking at the B gates at the other side of the airport, WHAT IS THAT ABOUT???

I was in Minneapolis Airport a few weeks ago and flew on 2 Delta A319s. Considering how new this retrofit is I’m surprised that this would happen to your side panel. What was the tail number of this plane?

Unfortunately I flew this back in may so can't easily check. I just quickly went through the raw footage, and given how the plan came to the gate from the right, I don't think I got a shot of it unfortunately.

00:08 Delta (and now United) love to think of themselves as differentiated, premium carriers. Here’s reality: Other than funky colors, strong branding, and maybe IFE screens, Delta, United and all other non-ULCCs are virtually the same. There’s not enough differentiation among the non-ULCCs to no longer consider them a commodity business.

I agree, the A319 is nice, it’s better than any CRJ.
