That was great! I appreciate any type of "roadside attraction" so please do make videos if you come across any others! I only have a dozen or so on my list, like The Green Giant, who was not nearly large enough.

I remember when the Coffee Pot was on the other side of the road. I also remember the Ship Hotel which was at the top of the Eastern Divide near the Bedford -Somerset County line. Ft. Dewart is just past the Ship. I hope you can do a story on that sometime. Also Edmund's Swamp is near Buckstown on the Shade Township side. I had a friend that owned a farm and somewhere on his farm where buried 2 soldiers from Forbes Army. To this day no one knows where they are buried.

I don't know what town it's in but passed the giant shoe/boot a lot. As I remember it was somewhere along Rt. 30. I would look over and see it on my trips to York Depot For the Bakery.😀

I wish they could move one of the old log cabins that still exist in town & Dunkles & relocate them to sit next to the Coffee Pot at the Fairgrounds a Sonic drive-in restaurant &open a state-of-the art drive-in movie theater up behind the fairgrounds. It’s already a destination, make it a bigger one. Ppl love road trips & if you give them a place to go, maybe they’ll make it a slow Lincoln Highway-scenic kind of road trip instead of a 90 mph Interstate one.
