My wife was making some food that used tomatoes and one of them had something that looked like a worm burrowing through it. She is pretty squirmish, so she screamed and backed away from it. I looked at it, dug out the worm-like thing, and found that it was a tomato seed that sprouted inside the skin of the tomato. I had never seen that before, and I thought it was pretty cool. My wife still wouldn't go near it though.

Dude if I'm cooking, anything that looks like a worm will make me jump. I hate worms and slugs and maggots. Once I got a lettuce (I was a kid, so my mom allowed me to do the salads) and started washing the veggie all happy when suddenly, I grab a little leaf, getting closer to the center, and a motherfucking huge ass slug of nightmares almost touched my hand and fell into the sink and the salt of the previous leaves made the slug awfully contort itself. I threw the rest of the head of the lettuce, scream like a maniac and everyone thought I cuted my finger or something.. nah was a 2 and a ¼ inches fugly slug. Moral of the story: cut the base of the head of the lettuce first. Then rinse it with plenty water, take leaves away, carefully examine them, put them straight into a bowl with water and a bunch of salt. Let them be there for 10 to 15 minutes and rinse them again. Some people go so nuts that they use 3L of water and a drop of bleach. I hate bleach. Rather use baking soda and vinegar or lemon, but salt is quite enough

I always buy tomatoes on the vine because I live by myself and eat them sporadically, and "on the vine" they last a great deal longer so I can have my one or two and leave them a week before I have to eat more of them. They also tend to sprout a LOT of their seeds if you leave them long enough. But I've had no better luck with growing them than sdfkjgh has. No idea why not, given how many I've had sprout.

Good to know. I've found peppers in peppers lots of times. Also, Hank's hair looks darker. Heard on the podcast that he doesn't use shampoo.

Some parthenocarpic and seedless fruits that I know lose in flavor, compared to the original varieties, with seeds. Watermelon, persimmons and grapes, for example. I don't know if this is inherently caused by the parthenocarpy itself.
