It is called "Loha Prasat" literally "The Metal Castle". It is the last of its kind in the world, there used to be two others, one in India, and another in Sri Lanka. There are 37 spires, spread across 3 layers, representing the 37 virtues of enlightenment, and the spire at the top representing enlightenment. The spires are cast from metal, unlike other temples which usually uses wood inlaid with glass or covered with gold leaf.

The check at the BTS station is just a normal routine. They check everybody included Thai. No choose and pick like they do at the Airport. It used to be a lot but it’s fewer now. People feel the same as you that it kinds of annoying so some security guard does not want to do it. The guard you talked to he thought you were going to Ratchayothin. There are so many places in Thai start with Ratcha… such as Ratchadumnaern, Ratchapruek, Ratchada, etc.. anyhow I enjoy watching your vlog. Enjoy your stay in Thailand.

@@RaiWayOut There's so much to love about Thailand! It truly has something for everyone. If you're into stunning architecture, the Grand Palace is a must-visit. For Muay Thai enthusiasts, experiencing a match at Rajadamnern Stadium is unforgettable. And if you're interested in ancient Thai history, Ayutthaya, the old capital city just 1-2 hours from Bangkok, is fascinating. I have fond memories of hanging out in Chinatown after school, enjoying delicious street food with friends. But the highlight of my upcoming trip is definitely visiting Chiang Mai and Koh Lipe to escape the stress of NYC haha And there’s so much more to explore! Let me know what interests you, and I’d be happy to come up with some recommendations! : )

Hiiii, just randomly found you clip! Thank you for visiting and enjoy Thailand. As you seem interesting in culture and have a curiosity 😸, here's some info just in case you would like to know. @19:44 The quote on pillars are from Buddhist Scriptures (Thai called it พระไตรปิฎก Tripiṭaka - it's something like Christian's Bible). You may see this kind of quotes in every temples. Sometimes on a sign at the tree, sometimes on the wall, or maybe on the temple painting, etc.. @21:58 School at the temple? Yes, it's a school. Previously, in the historical time, men only got an education by became a monk and studied at the temple (and leave the monkhood afterwards). Long time later, the king had an idea to establish a school near the temple area (so men don't have to ordain to get education). You see many schools in/near the temples around Thailand. Some are normal schools, some are religious schools for novice and monk, depends on each temple school. Sorry for the long detail 😆 Just hope this helps you. Have a nice stay here.

The roofs of the square castle were made of metal and consisted of 37 peaks. They were not made of wood and roof tiles like the other temple buildings. The temple design was adapted from Sri Lanka into a traditional Thai style and houses the relics of the Buddha. The most famous Buddha statue is 'พระพุทธเสฏฐุตตมมุนิทร์.' To answer your question, I'm not sure about the differences between the other statues inside, but they were not made with the same details since many different constructors worked on them with the concept of showcasing various Buddha postures. I apologize for my limited knowledge, but I hope this information helps.
