Why is this cube $78?! | GAN 12 Maglev & Leap M

Just wanted to clean up the presentation of the information. We were incorrect about the magnets on the first release. We genuinely felt the Leap M was stronger. GAN seems to indicate on their site that the magnets are the same. That said, the quicker turning of the maglev probably played a roll in how we felt the way that we did.

@@justzy3979 You could say that about Apple as well, but that's just not how it works. These two companies both want you to have the best experience, no corners cut. Everything's premium and nothing will unsatisfy you unless you don't like the general performance they were going for in their new phone/cube.

@@cube-nite apple literally has nothing else inside the box except the phone now. They cut costs for them but still sells their products on the same price range so the comparison here doesn't really fit. Gan still has things in the box that they could reduce to make it cheaper, although a worse unboxing experience is something a lot of people won't trade for price but could definitely reduce price quite a bit just from packaging and extra things like the bag, the “case”, and the tool box thing. I'm not saying gan should, but they definitely could if they wanted to. Also, apple is definitely overpriced even for the premium experience that it can give. I think Gan cubes for what it has and the product itself is properly priced and I hope they stay that way and not overprice their cubes by 200-400%

I like how my RS3M 20 is being implied as a non-innovative, bottom-barrel cube. My point was clear: If you buy Gan cubes (especially nowadays), then you're basically telling them to keep jacking up the prices.

@@octogintillion i highly disagree with you, people do realize how cheap is cubing and how cheap it should be for a quality cube, that's why the RS3M 2020 it's one of the greatest options cause moyu really demonstrates that cubes aren't meant to be expensive, yeah you can spend a lot of money but all you need comes in less than 10dlls. You can still be innovated and drop your prices so much more so a big portion of cubers can buy it and get that technology. Also your telling me that 80 bucks is not bad at all? Unless you live on the US it's really affordable but outside of it we are really talking about a week of payment (here on mexico) for a Rubik's cube lol how crazy is that? Anyways just a little bit of a rant, consider that Gan it's all about the looks, cool technology but waay too expensive at this point, it's just demotivating a big portion of cubers to not buy those cubes anymore.

I have the gan 12 and it’s pretty good but the corner cutting is not good because of the magnet alignment When I got the cube and there were some negative reviews I got really discouraged and I thought I wasted my money on something with negative reviews.

Get an rs3m 2020 and you are good to go, you save yourself like 70 bucks and you can use that money to get some other cubes. If you have the money then good but 80 bucks it's so expensive tbh. Let’s be honest, the cube isn’t worth 78$ it’s not as good as the 11 m pro and that’s cheaper. If you do get this cube you should slow it down with weight 5 but you shouldn’t get it in the first place you should get a 11 m pro.
