You can tell that's a heated waterer. High pressure and low pressure systems will also trigger animals especially jersey cows milk fever was the biggest problem. It's interesting how you treat your animals i think your experience as a mom kicks in and they couldn't want for better . As cold as it is there not huddled together they look dry and comfortable Thanks

Pull and grunt advantage of open barn like hers with a telehandler she might be able to reach over and fish her out. In an earlier video she manhandled opps correction womanhandled it out (don't mess with her she's a lot stronger than you think) I've use a comealong to get cows out
@1093675 жыл бұрын
@@jaykneegarner2479 I'm assuming just birthing complications, if the baby gets stuck it can definitely kill momma, I've had cows and if the heifer can't give birth to the calf she just dies, the heart rate plummets, she goes into shock, loses consciousness and the heart stops. Sandi had to put a ewe down in another video and just dragged her out by hand if anyone is wondering, but that ewe wasn't pregnant, so Idk maybe Mark can help with this one.

I'm glad I found this video. It answered my question from another vid about why you didn't jug the ewes before they dropped. Very understandable. We had more than one barn, so it made sense for us to jug before lambing began. All the ewes bred with one ram would be in one barn, while the next were in another, and so on. It worked for us. I do like your pen fencing, I have to say. Ours were solid wood, tall enough for the ewe to see over, but a pain to clean later on when we transfered them to pasture.

I had to post. Thank you for all that you do, the break in my day is to watch your babies have babies and they are so cute! I miss farming and baby time, but this gives me my fix without the stress. I wish there was something I could do to help out, but from one control freak to another {I do mean that in the nicest way} I get that sometimes help just hinders... so Hugs from Halifax and good luck with your talks. Best of the season and yes, you might want to time the moon phases with your lambing.... it does make a difference with being prepared.
