Interesting info even for people who don't work on a superyacht!

Great video! Perhaps you might consider doing a few more 'worst case scenario' videos such as 'fire procedures', 'MOB procedures' and maybe even 'collision' procedures! Enjoying your videos as usual! Keep up the great work.

Great video Matt, I had no idea that the lifebuoy near the helm was heavier and for that reason. Really interesting!

Cracking bit of info! Thanks for sharing that... :) Always loved during safety and survival training, when talking about the night time flares... "Ribbed for pleasure!" always got a giggle or two... ;)

Excellent video. I'm often surprised that you don't have even more views and subscribers, but then remember that most of your audience works in an industry that lacks reliable fast internet access. When that changes, you'll probably see epic channel growth.

Matthew, thank you so much for sharing this important lifesaving man-overboard information. It is great for everyone that ever goes out on the water to understand what equipment is there for their safety.

Once again Matt, excellent video... everything onboard has a purpose and a reason to be there, thanks for making this easier to understand for us as we're preparing ourselves to commence in this industry.

Enjoyed your video again Matthew. These lifebuoys always seemed to decorative then functional, I guess that is a good thing, meaning no man overboard, good job for all those yachts out there. I'm going to add a few video suggestions myself; 1 - How do you go about creating a to do list? 2 - How do you go about deciding what work to do a any given day? 3 - Collaborating with your colleagues for content from the other departments on board. They don't need to be on camera, but I'm sure their information might be valuable to you and your viewers. Again keep up the good work.

Interesting video 👍 By the way , salaries on yacht , payed every month or just the months onboard ?
@WorkonaSuperyacht3 жыл бұрын
Thank you, Aleksandr. In my experience, salaries are paid monthly for crew members who have permanent contracts.

Hi Matt, just curious based on some of the info you've shared, what size yacht are you working on, and how big is your crew?

question ------------ is there a difference between of a captain off a motor powered yacht and a wind powered yacht
@WorkonaSuperyacht3 жыл бұрын
Hello Wayne. Aside from their experience, nothing. The RYA issue different Yachtmaster certificates depending on whether the candidate chose to do motor or sail, but once you progress to MCA qualifications there is no distinction.

Imagine the MOB being hit by a 4kg life buoy. The thrower must be very carefull with that 😝
