Nice mic. Some people are going to get this and be happy with it for a lot of reasons. At that price point a lot of options really open up and this is definitely one of them. I am not sure that is the one I would personally choose for me. It sounds good and I like the style. When I get into that pricing territory I would have to save up a bit more and go with the Lewitt Ray. Similar vibe and that auto distance gain/muting feature is ON POINT for me. BTW still got to leave a comment on your other video. Watched it all the way through just not enough time to comment yet. Thanks for sharing Bark.

dude "pricing territory" doesn't necessarily apply to audio equipment. one of the best mics you can buy under 1000$ is a 40$ behringer c-3

Yup, neutral springs to mind. Pretty nice. Sooooo much competition in that price range but this sounds respectable for sure. Definitely unique looking. For voice condensers around that price, I might reach for a King Bee II, a CAD 100Sx, or maybe a TechZone Stellar X2. Thanks, Bark

The price is a deal-killer. If it was $80 sure. $180, you can get a whole XLR setup that sounds better for cheaper. ie PROAR 414 or blue Ember + Vocaster ONe.

I like the HyperX but the price vs something like the NT-1 Sig just makes it the harder sell. I'm glad that they lowered it from $250 but not really enough of a difference for the penny pinching podcaster in me to pay more for it

@@ObscureMics I misspoke. I was actually speaking of the c-1, my microphone model is blocked by a picture of Bruce Lee lol. The c-1 is an industry standard in the audiophile and music industry. I can’t even tell you the amount of times people thought I was a professional streamer and everytime they were blown away by the fact it’s a 40$ microphone. If you disagree I would suggest going over to the audiophile discord and picking the brain of experts where they can explain in a better way how the audio industry works. I made a few statements and you didn’t really choose which one you disagree with specifically so I’m assuming you’re going off emotions with this response. I hope you take the time to actually do the research so you can stop pumping out these videos thatre informing people wrongfully and getting them to spend way tol much money on audio equipment.

While I think the c1 is good for the money. I just think there’s nothing special about it…at all. Just my opinion….no disrespect. @@ObscureMics if you’ve never heard a single person talk about the c-1 it’s because you’re not actually involved in the audiophile community. I’ve been on their discord for years and they always get new people coming in asking questions about microphones similar to the one in this video. They educate them on how these devices are extremely overpriced and use internal parts that are produced by engineers for companies to use universally across multiple products and all they have to do is create an original housing style for the internal components. This practice is similar to how digital screens are produced and sold although the technology that’s being re sold in the audio industry is being marked up by extremely high margins. Behringer goes against this business practice and provides high quality quasi equipment at affordable close to manufacturing prices. It really is alarming to see creators of your size act ignorant to the audio industry and its predatorial business practices. You seriously need to get educated and in the process educate your viewers.
