@@Cabral978 Eh, they are just edgy kids (or bot accounts) who hopped/were programmed to follow on a (pardon my wording) dead trend just to gather as much salty sweat/tears they can from JSE fanboys to drink (which is unhealthy imo, trust me, HBP is not fun) For Trolls only survive for as long as they get attention, show not what makes you mad, but ignore their preaches. Besides, even if what they say is (doubtly) true, I guess they have a visitor waiting for when they reach their 70's, or 80's, or 90's, etc. not gonna say the obvious reply of "kys" to such people who played too much fortnite who just search up "generic old people" for their pfps, for that would contribute to their reasons for continuing in their own (terrible) reason for tomfoolery. Or behind their screens they do mourn the death of Sean's father, but they 'mourn' digitally because a simple LED Screen, a plastic shell, and a fake name is all it takes to become anonymous. But, enough of my ranting, might go play Warframe or Calibre. To you, Jedi and OP, I wish your days to be well, but to the trolls (both current and future) who stalk the comments saying the same exact thing, I wish their 8th McDonalds Sprite refill to be watered down. But it does make me ponder, How? How can they stay up all day and night just playing to every comment with the same 3 things they keep in their notebook? I'm genuinely intrigued.

My professor once told us that true horror is that which alters how you go about regular activities. For example, I don't go on Rollercoasters because of Final Destination and drivers don't drive behind trucks with logs. I agree with it wholeheartedly
@ArcherWillows
@ArcherWillows 3 ай бұрын
1 year late, but I would like to potentially alleviate you of that roller coaster thing. Roller coaster nerd here. Roller coasters are incredibly safe. It is not only impossible for something like the Final Destination 3 accident to happen in real life, any single part of that event is equally as impossible. Let me explain why. One: regulation on roller coasters is INCREDIBLY strict. Parks don't want to be sued, manufacturers want to make money, and employees want their jobs. Consequences for the accidents that do happen are so severe that there are way more safety measures than you would ever need. For one, the one that abolishes most of Final Destination 3, is redundancy. You would NEVER have a single hydraulic cylinder operating an entire train's restraint system. Old roller coasters don't even use hydraulics, their ratchet systems are independently locked. Newer rides DO use hydraulic restraints, but there will be several cylinders to EACH restraint. If one broke, everyone would be fine. If multiple broke, everyone would be fine. Another is just engineering. An object on the track couldn't break the wheels of a train, and if it did, there are more wheels to replace them. Trains are built to handle any situation, and so is the ride. I don't remember every single event in that coaster sequence, but there is at least one way to prevent each one of those problems that are even less than the bare minimum. Let me mention the accidents that DO happen, because they do. Roller coaster accidents are notorious. Any accident that has happened is easily recalled by anyone passionate about them, because they are so rare. And when they do happen, they are almost never the ride's fault. Stuff like the Batman beheading was because the victim snuck past security and ran into the fenced-off restricted area where the ride goes. The woman who flew from her seat's restraints weren't tightened. That was the ride op's fault. He saw the restraint was loose and assured her she would be fine. The most notorious accident of all time is the Smiler accident, which was a result of the ride working exactly as intended. A train stopped at the top of a lift hill because the ride detected a train had not cleared the block (a section of the ride. only one train can be in one block section at a time). earlier that day, the operators had added the final train to the ride without notifying maintenance or the operators after they switched shifts. The wind picked up and the extra train valleyed underneath the batwing element. Maintenance checked on the trains they were aware were on the track, saw that they were all there, and due to a blunder largely caused by management pressure to keep downtime down, did not check for the train they thought was still in the transfer shed and manually overrode the block section. (NEVER DO THIS). The train went forward and slammed into the valleyed train. The common denominator in all these accidents is people. Generally, it's rider error, except in certain situations. And everything that happens never happens again because regulation is added to prevent these things, and the people responsible are sued into oblivion. The only major accidents I can recall that were the ride's fault is the Superman drop tower accident and the Son of Beast. Superman drop tower accident was a damaged panel in the tower that left a cable hanging, which tied around a rider's foot, tearing off her leg as the ride went down. A bystander noticed the hanging cable and notified the ride operator, who called someone asking what to do, instead of doing the one thing every ride op is trained to do the moment even a tiny problem is noticed: hit the big red E-Stop button. Son of Beast would have been a much worse accident had the ride op not hit the big red button, and Son of Beast was King's Island's fault for firing RCCA and finishing the ride's construction themselves, with both faulty wood and inexperienced engineers. And Ohio kept sending the Dep. of Agriculture to inspect it, and they never found anything, because "We are not roller coaster engineers." Essentially, you are safe on a roller coaster. You are more likely to die in a car crash driving to the park than even being injured on a ride. Coasters are safer than planes, the safest method of travel. The important thing to remember is if something feels wrong to you, like, severely wrong, you're right. Even if you're wrong, you're right. If you do not feel safe, trust your instincts and notify the ride op immediately. Even then, it's still probably best to leave the ride and go to another one. If you've ever heard the saying "One death is a tragedy, a thousand is a statistic," just think of it like this. If you were to sum up all of the roller coaster accidents in history, they are all, even together, a tragedy. Edit: sorry for long paragraph. i'm a nerd.

@Jim87_36 25 күн бұрын
2 years late but Roller Coasters are not what Final Destination portrays. The very beginning would hve have had 5,000 alarms going off and they would have shut the ride done WAY before the characters got on. The opening scene of two is the most realistic one in that whole movie. Everything else was so cartoonish it was silly

There is a real medical condition where something in your brain glitches, your recognition or something, causing you to get a super uncanny feeling seeing a particular loved one (usually). You both recognize them as someone you love, but also see them as a stranger. This causes sufferers to adamantly believe their loved one has been replaced by a clone by some force, usually aliens, and this triggers a fight or flight response. Paranoia and such soon follows and the relationship breaks down. It's actually super sad, and almost always leads to divorces etc. I dont think this is based on that, because that would be kinda messed up, but I am super reminded of that from this. *EDIT:* It's called _"Capgras delusion"_

Perhaps... maybe it is up to interpretation? Though I thought it said "no one came for me" and due to it looking like a suicide, I could see either happening. A suicide, or a murder covered up. To me, since he said he didn't want to see what was on the other side and grew desperate from being stuck for days and losing hope with no one coming to help, he could have done it himself, but he also yelled at it while it laughed, and a gunshot, so he could have tried to kill it and it got him first. I think the murder is most likely. The "nobody came for me" at the end to me feels like he was upset that nobody helped him and he died alone.

Theory Time: In the Overthrown Video, Lucifer apparently replaces Gabriel, as we can see no wings the second time. And in the bible, it's stated that Lucifer is a "fallen angel," or one that has no wings. However, that doesn't mean Gabriel is dead. Now, he's back, and trying his best to fight off the alternates. In the second one, we can see that the old lady's house is the same as Mark's house. This could possibly mean that Gabriel has succeeded by keeping them in one house. However, because of Jonah running away(fun fact, that also happened in the bible), it allowed the Alternates to get away from the house. So, Jonah ducked things up. Screw you, Jonah.

Why analogue fear is scary: Analogue fear mostly use sounds and pictures to make us fear. Most important thing about pictures are they make you feel like they are old. With this way your brain convinces it self it's real and also because pictures aren't very clear it makes you disturbed of the unknown fear. Also pictures we see (alternates faces etc.) Are not natural. As you can see video informs us that alternates can look different than normal humans. This makes us fear since we don't know what to see when we are going to face an alternate. At this point your imagination makes you fear...

Imo it's the plot itself, once you understand what's going on, it's just pure terror, Alex did a great job in making you feel hopeless. the cops can't help you (nothing is worth the risk), your friends can't help you (you'll never know if he's an alternate or actually your friend), god can't help you (overthrown by Satan), so if you encounter an alternate irl your choices are to helplessly run away or submit.

Doppelganger story, here goes. I was 16 working my first job in the mall. Ppl around my age kept coming up, approaching me by another name. After the fourth or fifth person told me we look exactly alike and asked if we were twins, I knew it had to be true but wasn't too obsessed with it. I just knew it was another dude who looked like me, was the same age, and the high school he went to. One day, I looked across the mall and spotted him. Immediately knew it was him. He was talking to some girls and I can't remember why he approached the counter I was working at, whether I motioned him over or he came on his own, but he approached and the resemblance was uncanny. Like looking at an extremely precise rendering of yourself. It was awkward but we both played cool, saying that we knew each other's names and how so many ppl had told us about each other. We asked questions trying to figure out if there was maybe some relation but nothing added up. It was like looking at yourself, not a twin, a slightly different version of yourself. We had our hair the same length, very long. We dressed basically the same. I felt like I was the dominant, more "confident" of us two, for all I know that's how he felt. It was weird so we pretty much wrapped up the convo and he walked away. Didn't give it much thought or tell anyone after for a long time. The weird thing is I never heard about him or saw him again. I did some searching over the years, but nothing, no online accounts or anything. It's been decades since then and never heard another thing about him. But the craziest part, that hit me later on, my mother would tell me one of those mom stories about when I was born. My birthday coincides with a specific name, and she was gonna name me after it. But near the end of the pregnancy she chose something else. His name was the one she was going to name me. Can't make it up.

Fun fact: during “Intruder Alert” (and around 15:12 in this video) the song that plays over and over is “Ave Maria” by Bach-Gounod, sung by Alessandro Moreschi, the last known and only recorded castrato. A castrato is a man who had his testicles cut off as a boy to keep his young voice.

That's the thing about it that makes it fascinating. It builds a supernatural layer to a VERY real possibility: intrusion. People breaking into someone's house for the sole purpose of taking someone or causing them harm? That happens in real life, but the "alternates" and their lore give the idea that something inhuman could do the same thing; that you don't have to worry about people breaking into your home, but something far worse.
@totallynoticarus

For anyone who's new to this community, here's a small guide. First of all, there's something called an ARG, which stands for Alternate Reality Game. The idea is that you are provided with something along the lines of found footage (videos, a social media account, a website, etc.) and then it's up to you to put the puzzle pieces together and figure out what's going on in that universe. ARGs differ in terms of genre, some are horror-based and others are more conspiracy or true-crime based, and they differ in content, some are more of a catalogue of evidence while others consist of an active social account of someone basically role-playing and interacting with users trying to figure out the story. Analog horror (which the Mandela Catalogue is) is basically an off-shoot of this. It's found-footage horror based around analog systems such as emergency broadcasts and VHS tapes and they very often have ARG elements to them. There are often accounts that make theories and breakdowns about these ARGs, such as Night Mind, Wendigoon, Nexpo and many more but you are always encouraged to show the creators some love. It kind of depends because some creators will not have a KZbin channel with all their content on it but rather have information scattered across the internet, so they're more difficult to figure out for yourself. There are quite a few famous ARGs in the community but these are just a few you can check out if you're interested: - Gemini Home Entertainment: short guides, documentaries or adverts distributed by the Gemini Home Entertainment video company which depicts a world where things have gone terribly wrong. - The Monument Mythos: mixes analog horror with alternative history as it shows an America where unexplainable events occurring near national landmarks like the Statue of Liberty or Mount Rushmore change the course of history and reality itself. - Local 58: footage from a public access TV channel which is continuously hijacked over a period of decades with a series of broadcasts of ominous and surreal videos - Anomalies: found footage from two roommates who are terrorised by paranormal activity in their apartment - The Walten Files: animated VHS tapes from a children's restaurant with animatronics with a dark history (inspired by FNAF) - Paranormal Paranoids: found footage from a paranormal investigation team that went missing - Crow 64: a lost Nintendo game created by a videogame developer going through mental torment after the death of his daughter - Hi I'm Mary Mary: videos uploaded by a girl living alone in a house with different creatures in it that come out at night Feel free to leave your own suggestions in the replies! Some suggestions from the comments, so you don't have to scroll (if it has no description I haven't watched it): - Happy Meat Farms - The Sun Has Vanished: a Twitter account detailing their life as a person on Earth where the sun has disappeared - Alantorturials - This House Has People In It: haven't watched it, but I know it's about security cam footage of a family house - Unedited Footage of a Bear - DAD/Dadfeels - Ashvlogs: social media posts from a KZbinr who was kidnapped and presumably murdered by a stalker - Mabel Hornets - Petscop - Harmony and Horror - Everymanhybrid - POSTcontent - This Room Does Not Exist - KraniaGrzybowTV - Cicada 3301: a series of puzzles and codes presumably to recruit people for a government agency - Daisy Brown: a video series about a girl called Daisy and her pet monster

@@Nerdgirl9853 That's what I did. But, because of the limited amount of characters/words/spaces/numbers that you can put into subtitles on KZbin, the subtitles would keep switching, so I had to decode each line three times since it was shown only three times. I'm actually really surprised I recognised this but fun fact, the song at 15:10 is Ave Maria by Alessandro Moreschi, who is known to be one of the last castrato singers. Essentially, boys who did well in the choir had higher status for themselves and their families and, though forbidden by the church, families would castrate these boys so their voices wouldn't break and so could keep the status in the choir. Haunting.

I've seen a lot of comments drawing attention to the fact that Cesar doesn't seem terribly concerned about his mother apparently being attacked. I can sort of understand this, though it could also be passed off as Cesar doing his best to stay calm in a tense event such as this. Mark's underwhelming reaction could simply be a result of this-- emotionally detaching from an already delicate situation. What is even more of a dead giveaway, however, is the fact that there's no noise in the background. If Cesar was truly on his way to the ER (presumably with his injured mother), then there would be background noise-- the whirr of a car's engine, or even the wail of sirens and the voices of paramedics, if he was accompanying his mother in an ambulance. Noise filtering exists for some phones, of course, but these things tend to be rather hard to drown out, or at the very least, some indication is given that said sound is being filtered. All of this simply serves to cofirm the fact that, yes, "Cesar" is indeed lying in wait in the silent house of the real Cesar to ambush his hapless friend.

"Try to get a good view of the back hallway" Like.. psychologically speaking, humans fear the unknown the most and there are branches from that fear. These alternates for example radiate pure uncertainty. Their voices, their features, their faces, and actions, as humans we can pick out something unnatural very easily. This whole video is so perfect. That last line was just enough for us to basically panic inside lol cause we singled out the unnatural request. We don't even know these people and we singled it out and felt super uneasy. Or at least most people would feel this way lol

@jrena9443
@jrena9443 3 жыл бұрын
@@Weiswolfe the reason why I’d say this would be good as a game is because it doesn’t have to go with cookie cutter horror material use anticipation and anxiety against the player using the tv and the commercials throughout the day as a reminder. The monster doesn’t have to attack just you specifically, maybe if anything it could be about someone trying to find the cause of the phenomena and you have an encounter or see someone else have one. I understand it’s not just the monster that makes it horrifying it’s the think program and the tv breaks warning you of something you may or may not see.

@@nairsheasterling9457 No you're right, that's another aspect of the alternates, they're powered by fear. But all of the jesus stuff is still cannon, that's what the exibition and all of the religious videos basically set up. Not exactly, Noah was trying survive the flod, he was fearing for his life and others.
