This Super cool retro apartment is a total steal - Yes it’s Ancient, but that doesn’t matter because its Huge, has its own townhouse style entrance, and gets great sunlight because its next to a private garden by Central Park west in Manhattan New York City. This looks like a total steal for the right person, so check out this nyc apartment tour and let me know if its a hit or a miss!

I like the location so close to Central Park and the subway. The living space and the kitchen are both generous, and the in-unit laundry is a real plus. The bedrooms are narrow but functional. The downside is that it's a basement apartment and it's dark. So little natural light would depress me.

@@robertharris4100 Also, since it’s NY, you probably won’t be spending much time there anyway. If I had the choice, I’d definitely take an apartment on the first/second floor, but that’s a decent price for what you’re getting. If you don't mind living in a basement, this is the apartment for you. For those people who love an industrial vibe, you have the water pipes running through the apartment. The rooms are big with plenty of space, and the fact that the building is completely detached allows for a lot of sunlight to brighten the place. It's the Upper West Side, one of the best areas in New York City and near Central Park, with Riverside Park just a few blocks away.

That part of Manhattan is on high ground and it is doubtful it would flood. That would have to be one heck of a storm if that floods. Like the apartment and a good location but with that location I am pretty sure I could make it work, I would install a motion sensor light though by that gate and maybe a security camera. Subterranean Home Sick Blues! A stand-alone building right by Central Park in a great neighbourhood. It's a basement apartment in a long, narrow space, ( divided nicely into 'rooms'), but with little natural light. At $3,400.00 a month, ($41,400.00 a yr. + electricity & utilities), it's sure not cheap. There's no separate entry-way, so you're just immediately in the living-room area. I agree with other commentators, it could be really depressing. The kitchen area is really well-planned with high-end appliances. Whoa! The kitchen actually has a little window! I suppose you could use the water pipes as part of the decor. In-house laundry is a plus. The bed-rooms are spacious, 'tho somewhat narrow with little natural light. That 2nd bed-room was a surprise and even has somewhat more light. Glad to see that both have their own doors. This apartment is totally illegal, those are not fu[[-sized egress windows, they are barred. Where's the 2nd fire exit? Every apartment needs to have 2 exits by law! I, (unwittingly), lived in an illegal basement apartment when I returned to Toronto, years ago with only one exit 'thru the sliding glass patio doors. My land-lord got into trouble with the fire department afterwards, rumour has it. p.s. Good point, guys, about the flooding hazard! Sleepless in Toronto

@@Nismo331 And how far is your place from shopping and restaurants? Probably several miles at least. Then there's all the yard work and mowing you have to constantly do on half an acre. That apartment is surrounded by parks (with no work attached), stores, and restaurants of all kinds just down the block. Then there's New York's nightlife, museums, opera, Broadway shows, etc. If you think New York is just a crime ridden cesspool, you have obviously never been there.

3:55 There's not a chance in hell I wouldn't have stopped filming the apt tour video and started filming the "Where are your parents?" video. It would have haunted me leaving that chunker and not knowing he was okay.

Nice basement apt. The grates on the windows would make me feel secure and the nature light from the windows is amazing. The size & price for Manhattan is good. Washer in the apt. Is the icing on the cake.

Really nice place, great neighborhood! Yummy restaurants and plenty of privacy, greenery etc. Kitchen and bedrooms are roomy! Bath is nice. How would the flooding be with alot of rain and the position of the apt? That would be the concern. Price point is excellent! A definite plus with being furnished,! 👍🤩

Love the apartment ❤️ One of those folding tables from IKEA, would be great for some extra room for meal prep, and guests.
