Since America as a state has little or no interest in Pakistan, Richard Grenhell could become a very strong voice regarding all matters relating to this country. Imagine that Richard had a one to with Trump or they were in a meeting with six or seven other key people in Trump's cabinet, and he put something on the table about the state of affairs in Pakistan with few suggestions for actions. The likelihood of his colleagues disagreeing with him is fairly remote, since no one else has any interest in the issue one way or another. I say this because I have some experience of how cabinets work, although my experience was at a very low level, the fundamentals are the same. No one will want to spend more than a minute or two to discuss it as the matter is quite trivial as far as they are concerned.
