Why Is Wolverine So Trash In Marvel Rivals?

Its his role he fails at. He's supposed to be a tank buster with how his slash damage scales with the targets max HP. But it doesn't scale enough to be impactful, its only like 2%. Should be at least 10.

10 might be too much honestly lol. I'd say 3 to 4 would be ok because he'd be effective vs tanks but not absolutely destroy supports too.

@@RealTrueKingsDen Nah, 10 is the best you could ask for, just lower his direct damage per slash to like 15 to compensate. 40 damage per slash on 250 hp heroes, but 95 against 800hp heroes like venom and hulk. proper tankbusting damage.

sure hes good if you have a team to follow up on the people you kidnap but other than that every other dps can do what he does much better and without as much effort

I get Wolverine's purpose, but currently in the game it isn't the best. The Vanguards aren't going to be the biggest issue on the team, it's gonna be the crazy strong healers and the Hawkeye and Hela way in the back 1-2 shotting everyone. Let's say you grab their Dr. Strange and drag him into your team and you all beat him up. Well, assuming their Luna Snow doesn't just pump him full of heals and keep him alive through your attacks, you're still gonna have to deal with their DPS shooting you in the back of the head. Right now Vanguards just aren't threatening enough for a tank shredder to be required. I think in team play he'll work a little better, where your team can play around you isolating the tank and killing them, but in just randoms, Wolverine ain't gonna do it.

Skill issue ive seen 3 people play as him and got like 34 kills bruh learn how to play before talking, but don't get me wrong hes not as good but learn how to play him

Skill issue. Just right click behind the enemy tank and shift him back into your team. His whole kit is made to counter tanks

skill issue, hes made to focus on tanks or people with big health pools. His rage after scream give DMG buff, after 5 seconds of being alive it makes damage into shields an then if that shields survives he gets health as well. He is made to get in and out/take people with him, not stay an kill.

While that's the case, how can he struggle against healers and pretty much everything else? He has limited mobility, limited health, limited damage and long cooldowns. He's still F tier

Okay but vanguards are almost never by themselves (it's kinda their job to be out in the open) so trying to dive in and kill a vanguard and escape alive especially in higher elos is just laughably inefficient when compared to superior melee duelists like Iron Fist or Spiderman. And majority of the time if you go against another duelist or strategist you're just giving them papercuts like there is absolutely no threatening factor about being attacked by Wolverine.

@cameronh0701 Your first sentence already tells me that you dont get the character. You dont DIVE INTO the Enemy, instead you flank and use your Leap to isolate a Vanguard and then you shred em. thats the core idea, you might wanna look up Yckor or Supertf

@lucjeb9254 I mean I get you CAN carry the tank away from his team and kill him but you're lunge usually doesn't transport you far and it's pretty difficult to perform unless you're up close. Maybe thats my own skill issue but it's pretty unanimously agreed he needs major buffs. Also he shouldn't just be strong to tanks and pathetic to every other character especially with the amount of duelists being locked in, it makes him way less efficient when 0/1 vanguards are in the lobby

@cameronh0701 idk man i feel like buffing him could mak him too strong, depends on what exactly they change. I really dont think he needs more damage, seen a wolverine get a penta kill with his Ult... but yes, his kit has to be used efficiently
