Great explanation on wheel alignment Steve, you don’t really give it much thought till you have explained it like that. Good topic Dave, you and Steve should do more of these type of videos. 👍👍

As the victim of a dodgy alignment by the the workshop who fitted our lift it is very important to get it right great video 😂

Thanks for such an excellent detailed tutorial of how a wheel alignment should be done. I have over 20 years experience in the tyre industry and time and time again I see wheel alignment’s not carried out correctly!! Just one small detail for your shop to make your alignment even more accurate is get slip plates for under the rear wheels when carrying out alignment’s. This will give your more accuracy. Cheers

I agree with this Alignment video with only a couple of different preferences, one being that I like to have a bit of -camber on the passenger front not much but around -0.25 enough to stop outer tyre wear on that side & have the drivers front about -0.05 or even +0.05 just in that range. Also another thing that can make your car pull left or right are the tyres (even brand new tyres) the caster split you guys do is perfect but if there is still pulling than just try rotating the front tyres left to right.

That was awesome, more of this from Steve I love listening to people that love what they do and know it well.

I don't have a Y62, but I own a TA60 Armada in the USA. Thank you very much for these informative videos. I did not account for saggy Platinum 120k mile springs and ended up with a 3.5 inch (90mm) in the front and 2.5 (65mm) in the rear. I made a 2" billet K frame drop (I could not find any 1x2 billet locally) and so I have 5" (125mm) lift rear unloaded. Add in my gear and camping trailer and I'm level with 25PSI in my bags. My problem is empty the steering is touchy at hwy speeds and I get that left or right jerk from 1st to 2nd gear if accelerating hard. I was really hoping for amazing results from the Spring swap to bags to have the unloaded/loaded adjustability. I like the comfort of the independent suspension but I just wish the geometry wasn't so complex! I work from home so I don't drive a lot but I really am looking for a happy medium. Thanks again!

Really interesting great video, I wonder what readings a Y62 straight of the boat would show on your wheel aligner

It’s time Nissan gave David a new Y62. He has surely promoted a huge amount of sales of the Y62.

Love the channel, new subscriber and have a deposit on a Y62. I'm based in Sydney and get the feeling that all of the other states have a wealth of Y62 expertise and service offerings. Can you or any subscribers make some recommendations for local expertise in Sydney?.

Mine had a wheel alignment 5 years ago, tows 3 ton on a weekend, off road that stops a lot of other 4x4s and has never scrubbed a tyre. 130ks

I'm a novice here in the Y62 world. I was hoping you could provide the details of the bolts you mention should be replaced every 6-10 alignments? Are they all same size or different sizes? Nissan spare parts i assume?

Seems like self leveling airbags are essential for a y62. Even for every day load differences or the occasional time towing the van, it's always going to be different

Sounds like you constantly chasing your tail with alignments on these cars. If you get a wheel alignment done with the car full of camping stuff then you remove it when you get home that’s going to throw it out and visa versa. Seems like it’s a lose lose situation
