The daily job can be crazy. I work from 4:00pm-12:30am and when I get home it can be hard to get to sleep quickly so I can get up early enough to go out shooting for awhile. This last month I have been mostly developing my back log of film into contact prints and some 8x10 test prints of shots I think have potential. I try not to shoot and turn around the days shoot on that day; due to chemical considerationa. I shoot digital as well with my 6d and 100-400. In film I use a t90 and a 400mm 2.8 L FD lens. I've been kicking around how to make my own videos of what I do, without feeling too goofy. Just need to make that step. I mostly have been focused on woodland landscape a Morph (White) Squirrels. And looking for the elusive Black Squirrel...lol

There have been lots of times that I did not want to go outdoors, walking, hiking, etc. But there has NEVER been a time when I was sorry I did. Afterwards, I'm always glad that I went, no matter how badly I didn't want to go. Scientific studies have proven that being outdoors in nature is beneficial. It lowers blood pressure, relieves stress, helps with depression and anxiety, etc.

It can be hard to force yourself to get out sometimes. Especially if you live somewhere where you know you have to travel several miles to get to somewhere green and with nature and if you don't have transport. Such beautiful photos of the purple sandpiper, Trond! Have you used neoprene socks at all? Feet get wet but they prevent the cold waters from freezing (your feet). I have a pair of the neoprene boots for fly fishing in icy waters and they're pretty amazing.... Thanks for sharing.

And of course when I'm free during weekends, it's always one of the classic Bergen rainy days... By the way, are you planning to submit anything to NNPC (Nordic Nature Photo Contest) this year? it might be that the converter doesnt work on your lens in combi with the D500, might try it with the D4s.
