I've had this hawk for the last year and LOVE it! I've had a blast thrashing it outdoors and aside from scuffing the coating, it's undamaged. No matter what I throw at it, it chews it up and keeps going! Aside from sharpening and oiling the cutting edges, it's a beautiful, no hassle tool. Thank you CRKT for such a wonderful product and thank you, Gideon's Tactical for your awesome review because it helped me decide to buy this!

I want this just for fun. I've got two of the CRKT woods Chogan that I picked up in the US for the same price as one in the UK and they are great but were blunt as a hammer when I got them. Excellent kit.
@toddk90447 жыл бұрын
Aaron, dude you really need to try out CRKT's woods Chogan Tomahawk. I've had mine for over a year now and I still love it! The hammer poll is great and it's a frickin monster out there in the woods, lol.

Many years ago I was a carpenter. For heavy work full tang will ruin your elbow. For general light work full tang is nice. So, lay off the cinder blocks with this design.

Great review. I love tomahawks, they are just cool. You mentioned that you prefer a full tang design, may I suggest looking at the Eastwing Sportsman Axe. It is far more capable then it's size would suggest. Keep up the awesome job.

I really like these types of axes as woods tool's, I think they out chop big knives and are nearly as versatile, are easier to carry than heavy machetes and I prefer their edge geometry to those of traditional tomahawks and hatchets. Might have to get this one but I already have the condor thorax, crkt kangee and buck compadre axe. Must...resist...temptation...

I love the design and everything, but I wish this was like 5 inches longer. It would make chopping much better and easier.

Ya Rune is a name. My name. It's a old Norwegian/Nordic name. The hawk look great i must say. Great review as always.-) Btw, rune is also the name of an ancient northern written language.

How does this t-hawk stack up against the other crkt/rmj offerings, if you had to choose one between this and the Chogan or kangee tactical versions?
@MrFroggy296 жыл бұрын
dulce0403 : the chogan is better for big job, because it s a longer hawk. The rune is more compact. It make good work for bushcraft task.
