I honestly do not understand how Rob, Glenn, Charlie and everyone else do it. This show has been on for 15+ years. It started in 2005 and it's still relevant! And not only is it just as good as it's always been, many times it actually gets better. How many shows can you name that have even managed to last this long? Let alone not dip in quality, let alone stay good, LET ALONE get better!? It's truly mindblowing. And the fact they they write AND star in it is just..they are so talented it's unreal.

I think them doing less episodes a season really helps. Allows them to really refine each episodes without needing filler. They are freaking geniuses
@joshs27343 жыл бұрын
@@dereklewis4321 Yea, I would agree with that. Having to pack 22 episodes into a season is too much for anyone. It's incredibly hard to keep quality up like that. I think that's why not a lot of shows these days have that many episodes per season. 10-13 is way more common now. And I think we've had more super high quality shows in the last 10 years or so than ever before, so that really says something.

I got so stoked as soon as I realized this was about "Charlie Work" still one of the best episodes of television, much less IASIP of all time. I've watched this one so many times and it never gets old but that can be said of almost every episode of this amazing series. Everyone talks Friends, Seinfeld, Cheers, blah blah blah when talking about best sitcoms of all time but they really don't have shit on IASIP and that's why they're taking the crown of longest running live action sitcom of all time and I personally don't feel like the quality has dipped at all.

Yea. The 180 flip into Charlie's world when you get to see the madness behind what really is "Charlie work" a thrown away concept time and time again to take Charlie down a peg. I specifically remember feeling "bored" as a fan since the shows inception at this point and this episode was a breathe of fresh air

Charlie Work is the best episode of basically any show

Makes me happy that the one perfect episode he wants to talk about is probably my favorite episode in the series.

4:36 Birdman came out in 2014 while Charlie work aired in 2015. Edit: How could the second half of Charlie work remind someone of something that hadn't came out yet? Even though...it had.....

blaming writers instead of the studio for not being able to one up the raunchiness is the main complaint I have here. The reason sunny got raunchier was because it was allowed too, the reason more raunchy comedies don't exist is because studios don't want to push that. It is easy to up the stakes over and over again, but maybe not easy to the level sunny does. Having said that it's very clear why we don't have what we want and that because the voices that are the loudest are the biggest complainers. Just like yelp most people aren't going on there to write a comment about how good their experience was, but the second something goes wrong they go straight to the keyboard. It's a sham and nothing more.

I literally just watched this episode and was so blown away about it that fired up youtube knowing that surely someone realised its genius and look what I found. Great vid 👍

For me, what makes Always Sunny unique and arguably better than most sitcoms is the fact that most of the episodes are written by the actors who play the characters, so they have a more in-depth understanding of their characters and the world they inhabit that a "regular" actor wouldn't have, and they seem to have a more interconnected circle both in the show and real life, as opposed to just a couple of random people in a room/set acting like friends/family members and getting into manufactured situations and conflicts.

like the emmy’s have just decided to never award them. there’s no reason this didn’t get at LEAST an award for direction.

I recently rewatched all of IASIP and when I saw the Charlie Work episode again throughout the whole episode i was thinking "they probably won a award for this one"
