I'm from NYC but work in London and London is my #1 favorite city on earth. Primarily because of the interesting layout, neighborhoods, elegance, extremely international vibe, markets, buzzing streets, quality of the restaurants and shops, events, culture, history, nightlife etc. It is way more interesting to walk around in than NYC because it's not on a boring American style grid street pattern. You actually feel like you can get lost in London and that there are endless neighborhoods to explore, including narrow alleyways. I get that same feeling in Bangkok, Tokyo and Paris, my 3 other favorite cities.

London, really? Do not see the appeal in the slightest. Migrants taken over the city, dirty streets, knife crime daily occurrence, food shopping is a nightmare as not adequate supply and choice. Dude, try Moscow to be really gobsmacked(traveling with Russell, Baklykov. Live)

You’re totally right! Never been to US but for us London is definitely super interesting because of the different neighbourhoods, food options and as you mentioned - the international vibe! The amazing thing is that many cultures also coexist and work together in harmony, so no one feels rejected :) Thank you for this comment because you can really compare this city to other giant metropolises (still keeping in mind the uniqueness of London) 😍🇬🇧

Just found your channel and had to like and subscribe! I really like the way you walk around and take your viewer along, as well as how you mentioned what time it was - that helps a viewer to understand how much you can accomplish in a relatively short time. You give some really good tips - including how you demonstrate the tube (and now I know to be careful so I don't slap or get slapped Haha) and I enjoyed hearing your input on what you saw.

I’m glad you tip toed around the pride flags when you didn’t really understand what was going on, but it felt awkward to tip toe like it was something bad. I’m non-binary and have been a long time watcher and throughly enjoyed your vids. I do occasionally travel to see pride events/historical monuments so it would be cool if you opened your minds up to learning about what cultural events are taking place, as you may not be a part, but you have a big voice and many viewers who could be interested in reference to travel. Thank you as always for being wholesome 💖

Hi Jay and Karolina, I’m loving all your videos in this country. I like the interaction you have with the locals and your impressions of where you visit. I must point out that The Golden Chippy is unfortunately a bit of a trek from the centre of Greenwich, but often the best meals are not to be had in the most convenient and spacious locations in my experience. I thought you Karolina seemed quite comfortable in London, maybe due to your time spent there in your teens. I’ve just realised it’s not this video in which you visited Greenwich 😢 but you will know what I’m talking about as it was featured on a previous video.

I find Buckingham Palace is just a one time place to see while in London and won't go for a 2nd time since the inside is not opened to the public. Prefer to go see old historical places like castles where you can explore the inside and touch and feel part of the history. Have you guys been to the Louvre in Paris and you can get to see The Napoleon III Apartments which is one of my favourite. I had actually walked in thru the security and stood outside the main door of 10 Downey street for pic and someone opened the door but didnt get to the PM during my first visit in London many years ago. A friend of mine was an ex police officer and he managed to bring me in while many people were outside probably thinking what business does that Asian guy have haha... I am surprised you didn't go have your kaya toast at Meimei Borough Market. Sometimes, never trust the hyped on social media. 8.50 pounds for strawberry with melted chocolate is way way overpriced but rental and manpower are not cheap there. I agree and the LGBTQ+A etc. thingy is really getting too confusing, even for a pink guy like me :) I attended the winter wonderland a few years ago with my partner and it was pouring wet but I don't mind at all since I love the rain and Rihanna happened to be there too though we didn't see her.

Love this comment ❤️ Glad you enjoyed watching our LDN endeavours! Yes, that’s true Buckingham Palace and Downing St are quite official and not usually open to the public but I guess it’s something important to check out off your list when in the city! The Borough Market eats were were just so good 😮💨 We went there during the lunchtime so next time would definitely need to come back for the Kaya Toasts (preferably in the morning). For us the flag just has become a bit more complex and it’s confusing for most people so there’s no point to have thousands of them on the most recognisable of the streets haha but maybe there’s some reasoning behind it 🤪
@chalayan4 ай бұрын
@@JayandKarolina u can also get a bottle of the kaya jam at the Asian supermarket in Chinatown. There a Malaysia/Sg mini mart there and go try Singaplura. New Singapore restaurant colla with STB. Heard is pretty good but London price haha. As for the rainbow 🌈 flag, it used to be so simple and now is so complicated. There are actually quite a lot of versions. Prefer the old flag to represent all and the world is complicated enough, why not make it simpler 😊 are you planning to take karolina for the English afternoon tea? There are a few really good ones in London or even a nice lunch or dinner at Ivy Asia St Paul. The restaurant is so pretty and IG worthy.

Guys you missed all the flags where your was walking to Churchill Statue you was also walking around London on Commonwealth Day. All the flags of the commonwealth around you.I dont rate bough market at all its so over priced and such long ques. So close to bough market is the Southwark Cathedral its worth a visit. All the other places I have been, In Travaglia square you have the National Portrait gallery, Not to be confused with the National gallery. as its to the side of the National Gallery, The restaurant in the National Portrait Gallery has some of the best views, for the price of a coffee, I lived in London for 24 years as a teacher the only decent places are the tourist places, The city is finished after brexit, Have you seen the new shopping center inside the old Chealse power station its worth a visit you will amazed, Merci Jean-Marc

Very true! The sausage roll is an absolute must-have - we did queue for like 20 mins but apparently it's quite normal for Borough Market :) It was definitely worth it! Whereas the chocolate strawberries were definitely a one off experience!

I have no problem with pride flags at all lol. I think many agree that the original pride flag was the best and there didn't need to be an update. Just getting rather complex with all the additional shapes and colours don't you think?
@electrckdjay4 ай бұрын
Nah man… never a bit too much. The New Progress Pride Flag represents inclusivity and progress and it was created by Valentino Vecchietti of Intersex Equality Rights UK. So it’s cool they are rocking it on that street since it looks like the UK takes great pride in creating it. Flags aren’t stagnant, their meanings change over time to represent who they represent. Even the Union Jack changed over time to be more inclusive of the countries it represents and England still flies their own flag.
