I will wait for Sky til the day I die. This is STILL one of my favorite albums and I know her next one will be worth the wait. I remembered when I heard Downhill Lullaby when she dropped it in March 26 (or 27 I can’t remember) 2019 and I was at work and I stated to tear up- not only because of the subject matter of the song but how intricate the production was. She never gives us anything less than her BEST and I know she is a perfectionist so I KNOW the new record is gonna be exactly how she envisioned. I’LL NEVER GIVE UP ON YOU SKY!! 😫😫😫

I have been a fan since the early Myspace days. The way Capitol has treated Sky over the years has been truly heartbreaking to witness. Sky has said she has over 400 unreleased songs. Any artist, especially one as talented as Sky should be able to release music they believe in. I highly recommend listening to the lyrics in her single “Don’t Forget” which is all about Capitol.

I remember a couple of days ago it was the 10 year anniversary of ntmt. I was expecting like somewhat of a deluxe edition maybe or releasing the b-sides but no nothing. that wasn’t so unexpected bc well her label but the sad part is she didn’t even acknowledge the 10 year anniversary of her masterpiece. Something is very strange with her career. Sky seems to be very indecisive about what direction she actually wants to go in musically. Maybe thats why Capitol wont commit to funding or releasing music.

I can imagine that being a factor but I imagine part of that indecision is the label itself. Artists do guide and create the process of their own records but need supportive people around them to foster ideas, secure funding, and set dates and other logistical things. I think the fact Sky is doing shows right now means she does have a desire to continue music even if she doesn’t quite have a plan yet.
