As a bitter teen i threw away my angst and let the Solar power guid me to places, and helped me process feelings that even I wouldn't even knew I felt. Like being taken to somewhere just any where or the image of a second chance in the opening of stoned at the nail salon to the introspective look into my life through the lens of secrets from a girl who's seen it all, and knowing at the end of schemes it will be alright. Honestly solarpower means soo much to me and I know it will still keep its feels as I grow old....

Ik this review isn't a new upload but I have thoughts on this album Instead of working with Dr. Puke, it would've made more sense for Katy to work with Benny Blanco! It would've been a win win for her for the following reasons: 1. Benny was Dr. Puke's protege back in the day 2. They've worked together before 3. He's not Dr. Puke 4. Max Martin is expensive She also should've brought Bonnie McKee back, too! They worked together on Teenage Dream perfectly and Bonnie is still making music like the content from the TD era

She should've brought back one of these three people 1. *Bonnie McKee (aka the other visionary behind the Teenage Dream era)* 2. *Max Martin (Ik he's expensive so I get why he wasn't asked back)* 3. *Benny Blanco (he's LITERALLY Dr. Puke's protege yet not Dr. Puke himself)*

7:48 the only thing i will say is..she shouldnt of won for that album. Literally any of her other albums shouldve won except this one. I wouldnt say its a pitty award but…..its a pitty award. Bc they always snubbed her and now since she actually put out a not so great album they give it to her.

I think that’s a pretty common opinion online, I don’t think it’s pity though so much reconciliation.

As a millennial, it was refreshing to see everyone win, Beyoncé finally getting AOTY, the moment with her and Taylor, and Charli’s 1st Grammy, and Mother monster coming back.

I'm so glad I came across this video! I listened to this album on release, bc Katy Perry was my childhood, and I fell in love with it! It is a really cute and cozy album I like to hear with Paramore's “Hard Times” when I'm going through a rough patch, it sounds really sincere

Just like Beyoncé got snubbed for AOTY with Renaissance, so did Billie Eilish with HMHAS

this is literally the ONLY one time she actually wins an Album of the year category after being snubbed for so long and people are still mad and can’t be happy for once. This award was long overdue and while Cowboy Carter is not her best work but it has a very highly satisfying and unique sound and songs that pay homage to the main purpose of the whole context of black culture in country music-so I see why it won it’s definitely a great source of work. But I still think that she should have won her renaissance album and her self titled album that literally changed the music industry. this award was long overdue and it is well given by the academy after many years of snubs. I don’t care what anyone: She is the most talented artists constantly reinventing herself and exploring other genres while having so much cultural impact. ❤

I enjoy your pov,s thanks for covering the show. They have Quincy a proper tribute. Herbie Hancock and Stevie Wonder kidding with each other was the best. Also, Chappell was able to articulate her point very well. It reminded me of Fiona Apple who was relentlessly dragged for her sentiment in 97 at the vma’s

I feel like still, Billie deserved the AOTY award, Beyoncé’s win was a huge moment but if the Grammys stands for what it stands for, Hit me hard and soft was more deserving. Just because Beyoncé has never had an AOTY award and Billie is considered a ‘grammy darling’ doesn’t mean that Billie should be denied the award. Where do we draw the line between making history with an album that overall had less of an impact and giving it to the album that actually deserved it? I’m happy for Beyoncé and I understand it’s a big moment for her but that doesn’t mean you get to just shut billie down. So she’s a grammy darling? She didn’t choose that lol, she made AOTY and I think she should’ve been treated as such.

Re-commenting since it had to get re-uploaded: I personally feel like Kali Uchis was snubbed, since Orquídeas was my AOTY last year and I think it was amazing. I wish Best Latin Pop Album went to her, but Shakira would've been my second choice! I thought this Grammys had good broad strokes in terms of who to reward and I love the fact that Doechii won Best Rap Album, on top of the ROTY/SOTY sweep for Not Like Us, which'll live on in history for sure. It's also kind of poetic how Charli went from being nominated as a feature (Fancy) to getting nominated for AOTY and winning multiple times a decade later. My favorite performance was Doechii. It was a great Grammys this year, for sure.

Y'all who call Cowboy Carter Beyoncé's weakest album must be shocked, for sure, if I told you that Cowboy Carter is tied with Renaissance as Beyoncé's second most acclaimed album on Metacritics, both received 91 score, and fall behind only to Lemonade (92). So, Cowboy Carter is not Beyoncé's weakest album, and deserved the winning (and, for the record, I'm not a Beyhive).

i am boycotting the Grammys just like The Weekend did! the Grammys should not allow The Black Music Collective to have influence and voting over all other races. How are we ever going to be inclusive if we allow race to always be a part of what we do. Music should be fun and the Grammys are adding "voting members" that would add bias to the process. where is the Latin Music Collective? where is the Asian Music Collective? Just imagine how people would lose their minds if the Grammys allowed a White Music collective! At least we now know why Cowboy Carter won. I love Beyonce but Cowboy Carter was so weak! Most of the albums nominated were weak and the same old thing. The only real standout was The Rise and fall of a Midwest Princess! So many hits and this album had everyone talking! i guess it is more important to the Grammys to make a social political statement than to celebrate real music. You cannot cry and complain your way to album of the year... Oh wait, it looks like you can!

I don’t think Beyoncé deserved best country album at all. Her album was labeled country but wasn’t really in that genre. Also album of the year should’ve gone to anyone else, her other albums may have been worthy of it, but this one just wasn’t it. Seems like she got it because of the comment Jay-Z made last year.
