I think that was always part of the plan. It looks like the Blue Lock project breaks down football from the fundamentals and builds up to an actual game in full swing. Like they started having to learn to play with no positions, no rules, just a bunch playing like their kids getting together in the park. First you learn where your powers are, then you learn how to use those powers with others to maximize your ability to win. As much as Ego talks about ego, I don't think he's out here trying to make a football narcissist that doesn't understand the benefit of a team backing you up.

Gave some thought about and think for the U-20 World Cup, Sae and Shidou will play with Blue Lock but for every match that they will play they will switch up their starting line up especially their offensive positions giving them different strategies for attacking

I still don’t like Rin. He’s not a bad character at all, I just don’t care enough about his “destroy sae” goal to root for him. I actually like Sae more even though he’s supposed to be the antagonist of Rin’s story.
