Sancho is just amazing to watch. Everytime he enters the pitch we play better and faster, put more pressure on our opponents. I hope he stays longer than 2022 but that is probably a dream. It’s nit they don’t believe in it. It’s that the big clubs have different targets to Dortmund. Dortmund buy young players to sell them for big transfer fees. That’s their model. Their #1 goal isn’t to win the league. It’s to make € on transfers. Epl clubs goal is to win titles first and foremost.

What are you talking about, Dortmund is the only other team other than Bayern in the last 10yrs to win the Bundesliga twice plus also the German cup multiple times along with CL finalists. They don't try to sell off their players to big clubs, all player contract has a buyout clause after a certain number of years So all the players that left was because of that. The last big sales was Dembellae for over $90 Million. It's plain common sense, why spend $60 Million on a good player that is 25yr to 29yr when you can buy a very good young player with a larger upside who is 16yr to 19yr for $1-$8 Million. They have better scouts who scout about 20 players per year.

Over the last 20 years I've heard English ex-pros, pundits and journalists gripe about how the influx of foreign talent into the Premier League will weaken the national team and make it harder for English talent coming through to get into a top team. I always thought "what is stopping young English talent doing what all the top foreign talent is doing and go abroad to La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga etc?". It's good to see a few finally doing that. I can't see any negatives if the Prem were the most competitive league in the world, competition breeds excellence, and I strongly feel this is why England's national youth teams and now the senior squad are starting to attain some level of success. That and the FA finally got rid of Trevor Brooking as Director of Football Development... dark days.

Foden and diaz need to take note, and move. club like Manchester city, or really big premier clubs (even united now) dont play youngsters and give them chances, because managers constantly feel the pressure to deliver results to keep their jobs. this foreign route should be the way to go as it's the best oppurtunity for regular excellent level of football

Where he loves the club he's been at from time but doesn't know there are other teams that would love to play him in a key role. He's only 18 now so there's plenty of time to see what'll happen but the kids got talent now he just needs experience to ingrain the level he needs to play at and the Champions League last night was a perfect showing giving him a chance. People laud Pep for his team style but he's never really sucessfully brought through that many players, think about it for a sec, Gotze who was supposed to be the next big thing for Bayern and Pep messed that up. He's improved a lot of already established players but intergrating youngsters in like Foden is something he isn't a master of. Whereas Pochettino is more known especially when it comes to the english youth (in terms of integration, I know Dele came from MK Dons' academy and first team but he came switched to Spurs at 18 years of age and was jumping from League 1 straight to the Prem in many ways it could have gone wrong) with Dele, Winks, and now Kyle Walker-Peters.

Not sure if you found this in your research but Sancho basically decided his time at City was done after being excluded from the pre-season tour as there were other youngsters (not Foden cause they're good friends) who were on that tour but Sancho thought he merited it more than them. Therefore that was in a sense the last straw and he wanted out. I was surprised his agent was able to get the Dortmund deal for him cause at least from the British press it seemed like Sancho would stay in England and go to a prem team, but Dortmund was the perfect structure on and off the field for him

No, reason why he was left out of the tour was mainly him refusing to sign a new contract before they flew off due to no guarantees of first team football. Leaving city was the best thing to happen to him.

Thats actually a misinformed view on it. Watford actually would have been the better club to stay at in order to get first team minutes remember plus he was 14 or 15 when City bought him so I don't see your point. Also people fail to notice that outside of the Premier league teams are actually giving their youth a chance because they have to. Demarai Gray, Will Hughes, Dele Alli, James Maddison, Ademola Lookman, Dominick Calvert Lewin just to name a few players who started in a lower league and were afforded playing time at their clubs to develope before being bought by a premier league club. So to simply say an English club is wrong, it's the premier league clubs who have the problem with it being highlighted the most at City and Chelsea who have arguably the best academy players but worst pathway into the first team.
