My personal experience as a foreigner in Japan is that I visited many times Osaka’s red light. Out of dozens of times, I was denied access only once or twice. I became quite a regular and when coming around the corner, it was the mamasans that were enticing me to get in. And my katana is well above average size. I think it all depends how you treat the ladies. A good reputation gets you a long way ! As for communication, never was a problem although I don’t speak Japanese. Sex language s quite universal really ! Japan rocks ! 👍🏻😎

I've been to Japan a week ago for 2 weeks on a vacation. As a European and someone who stuedied Japanese language and culture at the university, and someone who absolutely loves the look of Japanese girls, I obviously wanted to visit one such establishment. I was staying in Tokyo, Ikebukuro, so at least finding one and going to one wasn't an issue. After about 15 mins of googling, I've found one such establishment, which welcomed foreigners (and had almost exclusively Japanese girls). Needless to say, my program for the next day was set, and I've even visited a second time before travelling home. I was 100% satisfied with the experience, everyone was kind and helpfu there. The place was in Shinjuku/Kabuki-cho, so it wasn't even far away.

Although I've never visited such places, reason 3 is, by far, the most common reason Japanese brothel refuse foreign customers according to my Japanese friends. I was told (and this is not my opinion) that the girls get use to a 'certain size' of penis and cannot handle the size and shape of one three to four times bigger as it's very painful. Secondly, 'no foreigners' signs outside some establishments, like bath houses, are there because other Japanese males feel inferior and self conscious when they see how well-endowed foreign customers are. The owners of these establishments fear they will loose their Japanese clientele because of feelings of inadequacy or a self-sense of 'imperfection.' These feelings of inferiority also extend to how much money foreigners usually spend in these places which often far-exceeds that Japanese customers are willing to pay. Again, there is an assumption that wealth = penis size.

There is a number of places where foreigners were not allowed, not only brothels but some restornauts, caffes. My brother who visit Japan had once such experience, he visited a small pub or so near Kyoto and owner didnt allow him to enter, until he ask owner on Japanese why he cant enter. Owner was shocked how fluently he can speak Japanese and apologize allowing him and his Japanese friend to enter, he then explained that many foreigners that do not know the language and culture came in past and it was usually bad toward local customers. Owner even gaves him drink on the house. I understand that because lack of knowledge some foreginers can be quite rude and not respect the local customs, especially if you cant talk on local lanquage it makes even bigger problems. But some Japanese establishments were quite rude toward non Japanese, sometimes without reason.

This January when I went to Tokyo I finally got to go to a "soap land" in Ikeburo, my Japanese is quite good if I dare say so myself so I went looking for many places, many places kicked me out for being a foreigner, other ones showed me a different menu after I told them my nationality wasn't Japanese, the gaijin tax was almost the double, and at last I found a really good place called "Awa no Dendoushi 泡の伝道師" (The Evangelist of Bubbles lol) that not only treated me like a local but also has good prices for the area. I think I payed 11,000~13,000 Jpy for 40 min if I'm not mistaken. Next year I'll be looking for others in other areas.

Communication is the biggest issue. I speak Japanese and have gotten into many Soaplands, Pink Salon and Oppai pub. But even if you speak Japanese you will be turned away by 70% of the places. Even the ones that let foreigners in, will deny a lot of service Japanese costumers get. Like being able to choose the girl.. you will always be given a random girl. Also, you might get "gaijin tax" sometimes. And, the only times in my life I got STI was in Japan (but it was from dating regular girls). I think a lot of Japanese people think that STI/STD aren't common in Japan so they spread it a lot. In my experiences many girls don't care about condoms in Japan. And I think he's right that Japanese girls think foreigners have BIG KATANA, a few times when girl's saw my Wakizashi they said "Ehh.. nihonjin mitai. Futsuu." lol

I experienced this first hand. I've been in Japan for a week and am curious if the rumors are true so I went around in Yokohama to see if they would take me since I'm Asian, just not able to speak Japanese. 3 of them rejected me as soon as I asked, in English, if they are okay with foreigners, and last one said they will take me but also will charge 5000 yen more and have to come back after 6 pm. I didn't take the deal since I was too tired to go back.

Many years ago, while in the military I was stationed on one of the remote small islands of Japan. There was one main small village or town depending on your perception, and smaller communities scattered around the island. Sometimes you could meet a young lady in a bar or restaurant that was open for some adult fun. There were small hotels, no chains, just private establishments, in the main village that could provide you with the company of a lady if you so desired, these hotels were identified by three small candle flames on the bottom of their signs, but were not brothels in any sense, it was just considered a service that they provided as the girls did not live or work in their establishment. This remote island and surrounding area have become a tourist hot spot since I was there 50 years ago.

There are plenty of brothels that allow foreigners in. Been across mainland north To south and it was harder finding places that didn’t allow you in. Maybe in the 80’s and 90’s they were more selective. Been here since 07 and it’s rarely ever been a problem of getting in. Even the Japanese only places would often allow you in if your with a few Japanese or spoke decent enough.

I talked with a guy who was in the U.S. Navy. He was in Japan and he wanted to go into a dance club. He was refused entry because of his uniform. He settled it by trading shirts with a stranger and when he returned to the club, he was allowed in. I have always wanted to visit Japan. And I will go there when I get the chance. Awareness of where Gaijin can go and cannot go is important. It’s better to be a student than an ignorant tourist.

I was stationed in Japan for 4 years and most of this isnt true (Air Force 94-98, Misawa AB Japan). Maybe in Tokyo/Sendai and few other bigger cities, but most cities these rules do not apply. The "pink bars" make themselves available for foreigners and GI's since they usually make more money from them. Language barrier is almost non existent because English is their 2nd language and taught through their education from a young age. On top of that, everything is numbered and simplified to make it very easy to select which girl you want and the rules arent that complicated. Fucking is very common, all of this is time based, not sexual preference. Many Japanese think foreigners dicks are bigger and I heard this quite a bit, which is probably true but not to the point that their vaginas couldn't accommodate this or caused any pain/discomfort or damages. 5000 YEN cover charge, 6000Y for a fuck, 15-30 mins, easy peasy. (Basically 50$-60$ USD depending on currency rate) I personally found having Japanese girlfriends much easier and never had to rely on these services, but out with the buddies, many of them would use these services exclusively and enjoyed it no matter what branch they were from.

They respect people who are socially disciplined, have a good job, earn a competitive salary, work hard, follow etiquette, etc. If you can follow all that then you will be respected. It is as simple as that. Most White tourists don't follow etiquettes and many of them who work here are usually involved as English teachers, translators or similar jobs. That doesn't pay much. You'll be earning 3 million yen on an average per year and that's not much. You may not even afford to go to a brothel with that let alone have a serious relationship with a Japanese girl.

Before watching this video I always thought it was because these brothels are technically legal, but still on the line. Since the business is kinda shady, they don't need any unwanted attention. If a foreigner was hurt in a place like that, or a lawsuit was made, it would complicate things and risk the business. By keeping things local and "hush", these brothels have better chances of surviving.

I know there is at least one brothel in Sapporo Japan that accepts foreigners, not because I patronised this establishment, but because the brothel was located just across the road from the rear entrance (no pun intended...lol) of the hotel I stayed at during my visit to Sapporo. The brothel had in large Neon Letters above the door saying 'Foreigners Welcome'. Perhaps it was this tradiitional ban on foregners that made them put up this sign. Ps...I even have the photos to prove it...lol....😅🤣😂😊☺😚.
