Honor to the woman in the yellow tshirt actually having the empathy to take her friend out for a shopping or stroll through harajuku to get over it easier. Amazing friendship, thats like almost dead in germany... gone a little more with each new generation. and tops to cathy and the staff to have the hindsight from that said situation and doing the sweets video right like, after it. Beautiful. First channel about daily japanese stuff you know has real heart and love behind it.

The girl you are interviewing @ 3:34 -- who liked a guy in jr high for 3 years, then finally asked him to go out, and he turned her down (i.e. not "break up") -- made me realize 「振られる」 in Japanese does mean "to be dumped" or "to be broken up with" but it also means to be "turned down" or "rejected" -- which happens without ever going out. So these are two different situations -- breaking up and being rejected...

I fell in love with a girl who already had a boyfriend when I was 20. We were working together and so I decided to leave town as I had an offer to play sports in a state team so I applied to move my work to a big city from the country. It turned out her boyfriend was cheating on her and she found out the week I was leaving and she was breaking up with him but I had already made the arrangements to go to the city. I don't know if she ever would have liked me more than as a friend anyway but I had told her by email while she was single and she didnt get together with me on 2 opportunities she had so I wrote off loving her. It taught me to be far more open and approachable as a person and to have a lot more confidence in the truth of my feelings and to always speak them out loud, that doesn't always work for partners I have either!!! Which is best???!!!
