Jarvis is technically sound. And his intellect with picking which shots to throw is nice. Which I would expect from anyone that trains at the Mayweather gym. He’s sharp as well. But my only issues with him is the positives that he used in the Zanetti fight. I do think Jarvis can work on his head movement a bit more. Absorbing shots and walking opponents down is fine. I get the game plan, especially with Zanetti (regardless of the sinus infection). But I think these judges score based off of activity. I’m not sure but this is where the conundrum comes into play. Depending on what Gib we get, Gib can stay active, throw with volume, paw with his lead hand, and just straight up box (be that as it may with his awkward footwork). Only thing I haven’t seen both Gib or Jarvis do is fight off the back foot (comfortably at least). Would they both fight in the pocket/make it a firefight? It would be a spectacle to see. But idk. I personally think Jarvis has to let his hands go a bit more in conjunction with his defense. This is truly a 50/50 fight for me. Either way I’m excited

Gib has shown a much better ability to fight (or at least throw) off of the back-foot. He can shoot counter overhand-rights while moving backwards as he did multiple times in the 1st Austin fight. Granted, he only knows how to pot-shot rather than throw actual combinations, but we haven't seen Jarvis throw moving backwards period

Gib throwing his overhands off the back foot is what caught and dropped Austin two out of the 4 times (please correct me if I’m wrong) in their first bout. But the question is can he do it proficiently against someone like Jarvis who’s more technically sound, patient, tighter with his guard, etc? I hope both of them implement or at least become more familiar with back foot fighting/countering in their next camp. Cause I think that might be the key to whoever wins (not sure though)

But when in the ring, he doesn’t have defence. He can’t throw properly. The only thing he throws is his jab that’s a hook. You don’t do that as a southpaw. He should go to orthodox. Cuz he ain’t southpaw. Austin is the easiest fight that gib has had. Jarvis could the real test now. Gib hasn’t fought anyone that’s willing to fight back yet.

Not saying that Jarvis is being overrated, because he absolutely deserves credit for his performance, but I do think it'll be a bit easier for Gib than most think. Jarvis has a very straightforward plodding style. Gib's constant feints, volume jab and constant angle changing will make it tough for Jarvis to just stay in the pocket and set his feet to land combinations. While Jarvis is great with his upperbody and has a decent guard and head movement, his footwork isn't that impressive. Tom Zanetti also wasn't impressive at all from a technical standpoint. Jarvis was able to wear off his shots because the dude was throwing arm punches nearly the whole fight, and he rarely mixed up his combinations. Jarvis' stuck-in-the-mud, high guard defense isn't gonna work for him when he goes up against more dynamic fighters. Something interesting to also point out is that I don't think Gib was at his best here at a Boxer for a reason. Leon kept telling Gib in between rounds to HIT Austin and make him remember what happened in the 1st fight. This led to Gib leaving himself way more open than he needed to because he was so focused on hurting Austin than actually Boxing him. I feel that Gib and Leon will come into the Jarvis fight with less intentions of doing damage and instead prioritizing more Boxing. If Gib comes in with the gameplan of being in and out, moving around Jarvis and mixing up shots to both head and body, I think he wins a unanimous decision. However, the more brawls he gets into, the higher Jarvis' chances of winning become.

I think Gib for me, feel like Jarvis doesn’t use a lot of angles and will take a lot of damage in this fight, he doesn’t really move his head to much off the centre line when attacking so I feel like Gib might eat him up. Jarvis is quick though and powerful, could see him maybe getting a flash knockdown on Gib, but I think Gib for this one💪

Jarvis is good with technique and getting hit. Jarvis doesn't use angles, when he tries to like do headmovement he just gets caught. Gib gets hit but not as much anymore. He keeps his guard up whilst testing the range. Jarvis needs to be careful getting in a fire fight with Gib because unlike Jarvis, he's shown to have some power in this weight class. This a bulked up Jarvis who had to eat a lot to even get up towards the weight. Also, I had Tom beating Jarvis in the fight because a lot of times Jarvis was keeping that high guard but wasn't doing anything. For what I don't like about Gib is he looks so unfortable in his stance. It's a bit weird.

Gib has the betterr offensive arsenal, more variety in punches more ways to knock sopponents out with incredible cardio, what ive seen Jarviss is better defensively when rolling the punches, clinching and keeping the right distance for his jab to set up combinations, i feel jarvis has a better chin going off the punishment he took eaarly from zanetti and we have seen gib be knocked down by austin with a counter shot. i dont see a knockout, i see back and forth all fight. Gib wins if jarvis allows him to use the angles to his advantage, jarvis wins if gib allows him to make him fight off the backfoot as weve never really seen gib be the one counter picking his shots, always the agressor. for me Gib takes the win due to experience and his ability to pressure intelligently to find the angles zanetti did on jarvis and win the fight.

Let’s be honest, Jarvis ain’t no walk in the park and Gib doesn’t have the best chin. Jarvis was really tested against Tom and showed he can take the punches and throw some of his own. I saw a typical Gib fight against Austin, not much changed although some small improvements but Gib does get caught and for Austin not being a real power puncher then you gotta question Gib’s chin. I think Jarvis has more of an advantage then people give him credit for and he just might shock the scene!

This is what people are not seeing. Tom, although displaying great volume, wasn't impressive at all from a technical standpoint. He kept throwing arm punches and only threw upstairs, which made Jarvis' simple high guard defense a lot more effective than it should've been. Gib's gonna be throwing with proper technique and he's actually going to mix up his shots.

Not gonna lie I think Jarvis takes this. Purely on his feet alone. Jarvis will catch gib off balance and knock him down multiple times tbh. He's also training st Floyd's gym lol.
